How to make the classic Spanish Bread?
This recipe yields 16 pcs Spanish bread. You can hand knead this too 🙂
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 tbsp sugar (10g)
2 tsp active dry yeast (6g)
1 cup warm milk (200ml)
1 egg
1/3 cup unsalted butter (75g)
3 ¼ cup all purpose flour (407g)
1 tsp salt (5g)
3 tbsp sugar
Filling:
½ cup unsalted butter (115g)
½ cup brown sugar (100g)
1/3 cup condensed milk
¾ cup bread crumbs (90g)
¼ cup all purpose flour (33g)
1/3 cup cream (80g) you can use all purpose cream, heavy cream or whipping cream
ARABIC:
إليك ما ستحتاج إليه:
1 ملعقة كبيرة سكر (10 جم)
2 ملعقة صغيرة خميرة جافة نشطة (6 جم)
1 كوب حليب دافئ (200 مل)
1 بيضة
1/3 كوب زبدة غير مملحة (75 جم).
3 ¼ كوب دقيق متعدد الأغراض (407 جم)
1 ملعقة صغيرة ملح (5 جم)
3 ملاعق كبيرة سكر
حشوة:
½ كوب زبدة غير مملحة (115 جم)
½ كوب سكر بني (100 جم)
1/3 كوب حليب مكثف
¾ كوب فتات خبز (90 جم)
¼ كوب طحين لجميع الأغراض (33 جم)
1/3 كوب كريم (80 جم) يمكنك استخدام كريم متعدد الأغراض أو كريم ثقيل أو كريم خفق

Esta receta produce 16 piezas de pan español. Puedes amasar esto también 🙂
Esto es lo que necesitarás:
1 cucharada de azúcar (10 g)
2 cucharaditas de levadura seca activa (6 g)
1 taza de leche tibia (200 ml)
1 huevo
1/3 taza de mantequilla sin sal (75 g)
3 ¼ taza de harina para todo uso (407 g)
1 cucharadita de sal (5 g)
3 cucharadas de azúcar
Relleno:
½ taza de mantequilla sin sal (115 g)
½ taza de azúcar morena (100 g)
1/3 taza de leche condensada
¾ taza de migas de pan (90 g)
¼ taza de harina para todo uso (33 g)
1/3 taza de crema (80 g)

My filling didn’t come out as thick after the condensed milk and cream were added. More of a pudding texture. How did you get yours to that consistency?
I made it & it came out so delicious from the oven. My concern now is for a couple of days it starts to harden the bread. I followed the instructions. Any tips to make it still soft & fluffy for couple of days?

Tried this recipe few times and always turned out perfect. I wanted Spanish bread for breakfast so I did an experiment. I prepared the bread in the evening. Kept in the fridge overnight covered with cling film, then take out from the fridge 1-2 hours before baking . This is second raise for the bread to double its size. Afterwards I baked it. Taste was awesome . Just like as if, it was freshly kneaded.
