Yes, yes, yes – you can get the stainless steel garlic oval and it works fine. I find that using my stainless steel butter knife works really well. I rub my wet fingers up and down the knife on the blunt side. I also put the knife slightly under my finger nails and rub it back and forth. Just make sure you keep you hands wet. Give it a try – it really does get rid of the garlic odor!
