The Easiest Restaurant-Style Beef & Tofu Stir-Fry Recipe! 香炒牛肉豆腐 Chinese Sliced Chuck Tender
Serves 3 – 4 pax
INGREDIENTS

For the Marinated Beef:
300g (10.58 oz) beef chuck tender, thinly sliced against the grain
½ tbsp oyster sauce
½ tbsp premium dark soy sauce
1 tbsp light soy sauce
A few dashes of white pepper
½ tsp sugar
¼ tsp baking soda
40ml (1.35 fl oz) water
2 tbsp cornflour or cornstarch
1 tbsp cooking oil
Other Ingredients:
400g (14.11 oz) egg tofu or any type of tofu, cut into 2cm chucks
4 stalks spring onions (separate stem from the leaves), cut into 2-inch pieces
6 cloves garlic, chopped
120ml (4.06 fl oz) water
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp premium dark soy sauce
½ tsp salt
A few dashes of white pepper
1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine aka Shaoxing Huatiao wine
1 tsp sesame oil
Some cornstarch solution, as needed
