I’ve never thought of this, I usually pour it into a container, just use a bunch of paper towels or stick it in the freezer for a short time and then toss it away.
Please don't throw away the oil, reuse it for something else if u don't want to add it in food. Some ideas are- 1) use this oil to lubricate tools like Scissors, garden equipment made of metal, etc 2) make soap from it, there are tons of instructions videos on YouTube. 3) burn this instead of a candle. We Indians light oil lamps (diyas) instead of candles by making a cotton wick. Please I request everyone don't waste oil, a lot of seeds are crushed to produce a litter of oil.
I figure 2 or 3 times is how many times it can be heated before it poses a risk. I fried up some stuffed bread a couple weeks ago and had about 1 cup of oil left. As soon as it cooled, I put it in a jar in the freezer. I've been scooping 1 or 2 tbsp. At a time to fry eggs or chicken. How many times must oil be used for someone to need this product I wonder.
it's a good idea for trashing oil, but there are better reuses for waste oil. if you have a diesel car or oil heater, you can potentially use it there.

Mix in some cornstarch to clean up the used oil then strain it to reuse.

Oh! Cool .. cool .. althought it's not like oil disposal was a huge problem before this, atleast no problem for south asians
Innovation is great and all, but it still doesn't make sense to thrown out oil just cuz you can't re-use it in another way.
Why don't you learn it from South Asian moms, they are real boss in the kitchen

Is it burnable like a solid? Looks like a great solid fuel
Can you compost it at home?
Just freeze it and throw it out
WHY ARE YOU WASTING FRY OIL?!?!?!
Looks great for the Environment :/
Is it edible….🤔
Or just throw it out without buying a powder product just to make it thick? Why spent money to do something you could do for free?
I always wondered what city people did. I hurl it into the weedy brush behind the back shed.
Turn it into Bio Deisel
Can you burn it as a campfire starter?
Thank you for this!!
Would be cool if it could be used as fuel for heating or sth

Does it work on hamburger grease, though?? That's what I need.
Who is this guy?! He is so frickin adorable!!! 🥰
Don't throw waste oil in landfill. It will simply break down to methane and carbon dioxide.
