The Most Comforting Easy Pasta Recipe You Need to Try!
Why do I love this recipe so much?
✅ It’s a great midweek dinner. Easy, quick and super satisfying.
✅ The bacon and sauce is all made while the pasta is cooking – so it’s efficient.
✅ Layers of flavour – Garlic, bacon and parmesan give it a savoury depth, while the peas give a little hit of sweetness.
✅ You can swap out the pasta, but using pasta shells means you have sauce catchers!! I fully recommend.
✅ It’s a great fridge raider – add in mushrooms, peppers, spinach, finely chopped broccoli etc. if you have them in the fridge and they need using up.
Salty bacon and sweet peas are such a great combination in this ultra-simple pasta dish. Most of the recipe is made while the pasta is cooking, with just a couple of extra steps at the end to bring it all together. Perfect when you need to get dinner on the table quickly, without faffing around with lots of ingredients!

There is no way in hell that the frozen peas are cooked in 1-3 mins! Why understate times! You all that like to make cooking videos do it. Just makes you sound stupid and unrealistic!

Did this tonight and it was delicious. Another one from KS that's going on the regular rota. One issue I ran into with an ingredient was the lardons. I used ones from Tesco and found a lot of watery liquid coming out from them. It wasn't bacon fat and I had to drain it off before the lardons started crisping up a bit.. Anyone else had this issue?
It would be more efficient to soften the onions first, then add the bacon, then add the garlic at the end. No need to do the bacon first then remove it, the onions take time, get them going first. Also I think for flavour this really needs a smoked bacon e.g. streaky, or chorizo. I think this will be rather flat with the cream. But I'm a chef, so maybe over critical.
She never even said how the meal tasted. Guess I will have to try that pasta shell recipe myself to find out how good it really tastes.

I made it today it was a bit too onion tasting and smelling for me. I did make it just for me as parents are at caravan ….though i made the whole lot 😂 so i should have done it for 1 not 4
I love that it was lean on flavour as in the burst of the peas were refreshing and then the nice salt taste of the lardons. Its what i call a nice clean meal where you don't want anything totally strong in flavour but comforting just not the onion 😂
Unless the onion i got was not that good though i am think because its light on steong flavours so the onion really is the strongest flavour and its too much for me

Though looking at the hige pan of pasta and the onion it is obviously the right amount…i am just not into onion like most.
