Thanks for a good review! I am debating between this one and the Weber 310 Gbs. Will probably go with Napoleon. Cheers from Sweden!
Grease trap should pull out the front. Having to pull the unit away from a wall just to pull out the grease trap is a VERY poor design.
Nice size for an apartment balcony.
Bought one today before watching this video! Even happier now. Grill newbie here looking forward to getting going! Any tips welcomed!
Which is better rogue or freestyle?
I will buy this to my balcony, nothing bigger fits.
Thanks a lot!
Just purchased this grill. My wife and I are soon retiring and live in a condo. This is all the grill we need! Love your videos! Thank you!
A gas bbq review with no actual cooking 😂
How heavy is the lid compared to Spirit? Is it double lined? Not sure if spirit is double lined. I can get it at Sam's Club online with tax and delivery for $546. Thanks.
Just bought this grill can't wait to try it
Bought a Weber Spirit E210 almost 3 years ago and the thing is just rotting and rusting out all over the place my porcelain flavor bars rusted right in half, I noticed it not even two year in but figured its WEBER I get 10 year warranty….. Ah no I don't 2 years on the porcelain flavor bars and the base is going as well. When Weber told me I had no warranty on the bars I figured forget it! I'm going to dump this pile and get a real BBQ. Looks like The Napoleon brand for me now.
Reallly like this review!!!
all that being said wear me out. stop please
I agree – I can start my bbq and keep holding my sleemans
are they convertable? im seeing a NG model 150$ higher. cant i just get the cheaper of the two and convert them?
Here are a couple of tips that make assembly slightly easier https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . 1) One person can assemble, but if you have a buddy to help, it will make it go faster – especially steps 1-3 and 8 (the legs aren't heavy but can be difficult to hold while screwing things in). Step 8, 1st part will take some time unless you have two more hands OR are really lucky. 2) Use a socket wrench! 3) Step 7, 3rd part – the flame carry over tube has an open side, MAKE SURE THE OPEN SIDE IS FACING THE FRONT. If it's facing the back, the tube won't work. 4) Step 10, 3rd part – if you don't have small hands (I don't, they're gigantic) getting the nut on is really difficult (but not impossible). It took me about 4 hours to assemble, but I took a "union break" every 60-90 minutes and ate a quick lunch. Also, I'm really OCD so I took my time, looked at the instructions carefully, and cleaned up as I went.
Hi, in the UK we can get the Freestyle 365 with the infrared side burner for £555. We can also get the Rogue XT425 with infrared side burner for £900. Do you think its still worth paying the extra to get the Rogue?
Just got this one today exact same one 3 burner still in the box gonna build it tomorrow.
Nice review , I was on a budget but looking for quality. I had the option to get one that was 200$ cheaper but quality was CHEAP. I'll try to keep my new BBQ for minimum 10 years 🙏🏼 thanks for the review. Haha I watched this after purchasing it 😂
Agree….! One handed start up is great – and especially the feature if one burner blows out it will reignite… That is very helpfull if you have a terrace thats windy most of the time and wanna slowcook something. Good review!
I bought one and it came damaged. How is there customer service?
I love the size and that both side trays fold away. What other options are there for the size and practicality (apart from the Weber you already compared with)? Or maybe a better question… What are the better options that the free style 365?
The ignition system is great when a person is injured or has a handicap whereby they can only use one hand.
Nah i agree with you, the jetfire ignition system is clutch
Anyone have suggestions on how to find one of the Freestyle 365 w/ sideburner? I'm not seeing them on any of the listed online retailers or really anywhere online.
hi, one handed starters IS SO KEY. Same with a relight from the wind!!! 100000% whoever says otherwise isn't being realistic.
On the Weber, could you not just turn the gas on, on all of the burners with one hand, and then press the ignition with that same one hand?
I've had my Prestige for almost 20 years and it still works great. Top quality BBQs
You're not crazy re: superiority of napolean ignition lol.
Thanks for the review video. Very helpful. Myself, I can't decide if I should get the FreeStyle 425 or the basic Rogue 500 for $150+ Tax more. Thoughts?
Damn it, I can't find these in Mexico. Only the Prestige Series but that's not in my budget, and I need a smaller model to put on my balcony.
That weber genesis do not have the connected burners is so stupid.
I cant find these anywhere in stock… I am between one of these and the Spirit E330… cause the 330 can sear. but its more expensive, but higher quality body.
Worst review job EVER All he cares about is hearing his own voice. Show us the BBQ working I cooked on one works great.
Thanks a lot for this review 🙂 wondering….can we use the stanless steel smoker box with this little guy ? Thanks

Is this same burner as the Rogue? The Rouge is guaranteed for life?
This is a barbecue I recommend to people who have a travel q, due to space, and want to upgrade to a more stationary grill. And yes, the jet fire one handed ignition makes a big difference.
I'm sold. I've never actually purchased a grille. I've been gifted a few of them over the years. I live less than two miles from the Barrie Ont. Napoleon facility. This will be going on my deck when the snow stops falling. Great no bull review, and I like the one hand starting feature.
I have the Freestyle 425 with a side burner (basic one, not the sizzle), my dad has the Rogue 525 with the sizzle zone, this is because of him if I bought a Napoleon. Both grills come from the european catalogue, maybe there are differences vs US catalogue as you said in the video.
To be honnest the quality of the Freestyle is really good for the price, compare to the Rogue there isn't a big gap! Maybe for someone who is going to cook every day then yes after 10years we'll see the difference, but that's all.
I prefer the Freestyle because of:
Two big wheels, you can easily move the grill in the grass compare to the Rogue, really appreciated when you're young and still not equipped with a beautiful wooden deck…
Price, 720€ vs 1190€ (Rogue similar version), both are at the fair price but the Freestyle is extremely similar in performances.
No doors, this isn't the best look but on a unflat ground the Rogue's doors are not well aligned and you can damaged the coating when using doors in such case, just no problem with the Freestyle.
What I would have liked:
Same power than the Rogue on the main grill (13,6kW vs 16,6kW) even if due to the aluminum case the power is enought.
A back panel, but cost reduction…
The main grill surface is slightly smaller on the Freestyle, this isn't mentionned everywhere, the Rogue is more appropriate when all your friends are here!
I guess that's all, hope it'll be usefull for people who hesitate between both. Rendez-vous in 10 years in order to compare the robustness of each! A french guy with Napoleon at home, cocorico… oh no that one comes from Canada.
I bought this one last fall. I put it together but haven't been able to use it yet as there is a whole ton of snow on my yard. I can't wait for spring and I want to use it with the charcoal tray on it. Can you review that on the freestyle? Great video!
when I first heard about "jetfire"ignition system, person explaining it to me, didn't really understand "why" it is so excellent, so At first I was positive jetfire is a marketing bullshit. But You are actually touching the essence – it is very, very CONVENIENT and fast! I don't know how about You guys but I always have something in my hand while igniting the grill 🙂 it is helpful.
Nice overview. I’d like to see a cook done on them and compared with competitors though (how even is it, max temp etc).
If this and Weber Spirit are "starter" grills, what about Char-Broil, Nexgrill, Dyna-Glo, etc?
Also, wondering if this Freestyle is made in China.
It's really hard to turn on the valve and THEN just press the button with the same hand just 1" later 😛
Hi guys, I've been following you from Italy for years now.
You, in addition to being professionals, amuse me a lot for your sympathy, your humorous/hilarious!
I am a BBQ lover, I have always had charcoal barbecues.
but now for various reasons I have to switch to a gas one and I am undecided between:
Napoleon freestyle
Weber Q 3200
Weber Spirit II E-210 GBS
what do you recommend and why?
This has it all for the price range, good informative video! Thanks 😊
Thanks for reviewing. Napoleon grill bars, ignition and 10 year warranty = unbeatable solution for an entry grill. (I’m still going for the stealth grills!)
Excellent review of the new product, thank you!
I am an old lady. This Barbecue is sensible for a good cook who is not throwing a party. Easy to cook on, looks easy to clean. My smoker…might be a different story.
Great overview of this grill. With a 10 year warranty and solid fundamentals I don't see competitors. Maybe someone can prove me wrong.
