The ONE-PAN sausage and rice recipe you should try!



Today, I am making an easy one pan meal. This one-pot sausage and rice recipe is perfect. You can add extra vegetables to make this a heartier one-pot meal!

INGREDIENTS
12 oz smoked turkey sausage
1 cup long grain rice
1 small red bell pepper
1/2 medium onion
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp Montreal chicken seasoning
1/2 tsp black pepper
16 oz chicken broth
salt to taste

  1. I love that you make this!!! My mom made this when I was growing up and called it “jambalaya”, of course not traditional, but hers also had chicken and the “holy trinity” of celery/onion/bell pepper; and yes, peas !!! I still make it sometimes for my family.

  3. I have a question? I really like how you fixed this one pan meal, but some of my family members like their sausage cooked to have a sear on them. Would searing the sausage change the flavor or mess up the recipe? I know it's probably a silly question but sometimes I have found cooking food ingredients can mess it up. But I really like how you made this wonderful dish ❤️.
