I must’ve missed something because this video doesn’t tell you where the name scampi actually came from.
Interesting

Love making shrimp scampi and sometimes I am lucky to find langoustines in my local store. Nice to know the history of this dish.
“Hmm we’ve got a lot of these disgusting bottom feeding ocean bugs how do we eat them?… boil them in butter and garlic”
I clicked on this video immediately 🤤 I love scampi.
Ma'am you are a very nice lady, thank you for the info, I must say I would rather have the shrimp than chicken, in Kentucky we eat a bowl of buttered noodles with s&p on the side for an extra filler, also you may not eat these but crawfish, crayfish, that we call crawdads are very available here, easy to catch/trap in creeks/rivers & means they are free !
Don't order shrimp scampi if you don't enjoy a lot of garlic..yummy stuff
I always thought it was made with shrimp.
This is my wife's kryptonite.
I was taught that scampi was a British dish with an Italian inspired name from the 1700's.
The least useful video I have ever seen from the folks at ATK.
Can you also demo the way of preparing the Scampi dishes? 🤗
