The recipe of my jewish grandpa – with beef and black bread
Ingredients:
beef – 1 kg (2.2 lb)
oil to fry – 50 ml (⅕ cup)
salt – 10 g (0.35 oz)
black pepper – 5 g (0.18 oz)
black peppercorns- 5 g (0.18 oz)
bay leaves – 2 pieces
onion – 3 pieces
garlic – 4 cloves
tomato paste- 50 g (1.76 oz)
water – 2 l (0.52 gallon)
black bread – 3 slices
Tray diameter 30 cm (12 in)
Boil over low fire 1 hour
