We all love parathas for breakfast especially in the winters!
But ask for their choice and everyone has a different one. Some like aloo paratha, some like pyaz ka paratha and some like a laccha paratha. So here is a paratha recipe that takes care of everyone’s choices.

Recipe
Aloo Pyaz Laccha Paratha
Preparation time: 40 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Serves: 3-4

Ingredients:
For the Dough:
2 cups flour
½ tsp flour
1 tbsp oil
For the stuffing:
3 onions, sliced
1 tsp salt
4 large potatoes, boiled, mashed
1 tsp dried pomegranate seed powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp chopped green chilies
1 tbsp amchur powder
¼ tsp carom seeds
Salt to taste
Oil as required

Method:
Add salt, oil to the flour and add water as required to make a soft dough.
Knead for at least 5-6 minutes. Rest for 20 minutes.
Add salt to the sliced onions, mix well and sweat for 10 minutes. Squeeze out all the water and add ½ tsp red chili powder and mix well.
Mash the potatoes and mix in all the other ingredients.
Knead the rested dough for another 2 minutes and break into 8 equal sized balls.
Roll out each ball into a large roti.
Spread quarter of the potato mixture over it.
Spread a quarter of the onion mixture.
Place the second roti over it. Brush liberally with oil.
Cut the roti into strips. Start rolling from one side and add strips to continue rolling. Rest the prepared dough balls for at least 10 minutes.
Lightly press out the parathas.
Apply water on one side and place on a hot tawa.
Invert the tava on the gas and cook till the paratha is well cooked.
Remove the paratha and apply ghee or butter over it.
Serve hot.
