So now I have a classic beef stew, Irish lamb stew, and apple cider beef stew (in my cookbook!). What flavor should I make next? I'm sorta thinking a vegetarian sweet potato stew. Any other ideas?? xo – Lisa
Making those tomorrow but want a bigger recipe. Do I double everything? I definitely have more than the amount of meat you suggest.
Thx
Used less wine, since i only had fortified port, but honestly delicious. This was so good, exactly what I was looking for in a stew, thank you for sharing!
Hi Lisa! Looks delicious! I was thinking of adding barley, but is that a good idea? Would that make it too thick?
I just realized you didn’t put it in the oven wow that’s great!
Love it! Do you personally use grass fed/finished meat or traditional?
What size is the pan you are using?
I made bone broth and froze into 32 oz containers so it’s always ready when I want to make this.
Where is printed recipe-how much water & when to add. Ty! ?
My cooker has a dish that goes from 150°F to 450°F. What temperature is recommended?
I forgot to add the tomato paste. I hope I didn't just ruin my stew. First time making it. Still in the stove on the 1-hour boil. I will update the post once I have actually tried it.
I made this in my crockpot, it was Devine.I added a spoonful of cranberry jelly for sweetness.
I appreciate the video! i watched about 3, but appreciated some of the tips and steps you took most. Didn't follow the recipe at all, but i did follow the process, and the stew is amazing! I added thick gelatinous bone broth, saved frozen chicken drippings, our epic garden scrap veggie broth, mushroom broth, and our home grown canned corn and green beans! the searing process and the order of operations was what i was looking for, and your method and tips were super helpful for this reformed vegetarian! after 28 years of vegetarianism, this momma needs to learn how to cook all the meat dishes! it's a whole dang thing. anyway, i made 4.5 gallons of stew with 10 lbs of chuck, and this pot is gonna feed my family for a while! also my dad and brother. i meal prep in a big way, too 😉
I would like to put a small amount of sweet peas in my beef stew, very good recipe to try, so simple to make, love home made beef stew.
Thankyou😊
A very good presenter … clear, understandable, easy to follow. Thank you
rule #1 never ever use a paper towel to damp dry food of any kind!
I’m going to try the lamb stew. You’ve given me great ideas. Thanks so much
Excellent as usual, thx Lisa ❤
Food looks good, to bad she's systemically racist
Nice video thank you, your cooking is in the gas stove yet others use the oven so which is better ?
My mouth is watering watching this. I need to try this recipe. I only came here to find meal prep ideas and have now been on this channel non-stop for 2 hours! 😂
Hi Lisa, great video and can't wait to make this. One question — what size dutch oven are you using? I went online to look at Le Creuset options and they offer a dutch oven in 5 or 6 different sizes. I'm assuming yours is one of the biggest (it looks it!). Is it the 7 1/4 quart, he 9 qt, or the (gulp) 13 1/4 qt? Just made your chicken soup recipe last night, and my current dutch oven was practically overflowing so I think I need a bigger one. But the soup was SOOOO good!
Add peas at the end and cook the celery (chopped much smaller) with the onions and this is pretty much how I do it.
excellent recipe, looks very tasty
That Stew looks absolutely delicious! Reminds me of my mommy's Stew. Yummy!
Very similar to Julia Childs recipe
I love your meals. Mmmm
