What a sight to behold! Its Gorgeous, The whole Napoleon line up is here at the shop and we are in awe.
In this video we go through the different features and awesome specs these guys have.
First we start off with the classic prestige model. The best seller here at Embers living. This thing has awesome knobs that tell us when our burners are on indicated by red lights. You can get this thing with or without a side burner and a rotisserie kit. Lets be honest who wants to buy a grill with out those things?!
Next we move up with the Prestige Pro. This guy has some awesome build quality and awesome features. This guy is basically the regular prestige just with more bells and whistles. We actually start seeing a big difference when we move up to the PRO 665. With the Pro 665 we get all the previous features with a better cart and a wayyyy bigger cooking area.
Now things really start to get awesome with the Pro 825… Let me explain. We get two whole grills in one whole cart! Literally insane. We get our own covered with a hood inferred system. This guy will get hot and cook some nice steaks. A master at searing any red meets for you! We basically are getting an outdoor kitchen within one grill. Another awesome feature we get with the Pro 825 Is the fact we get a high BTU side burner. We can boil water and we can use a wok pan on this guy.
We hope you enjoyed this video and helped you pick the right Napoleon grill for the job!

The best values are the regular prestige models. The pro models add very little but window dressing and cost a lot more
Here are a couple of tips that make assembly slightly easier https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . 1) One person can assemble, but if you have a buddy to help, it will make it go faster – especially steps 1-3 and 8 (the legs aren't heavy but can be difficult to hold while screwing things in). Step 8, 1st part will take some time unless you have two more hands OR are really lucky. 2) Use a socket wrench! 3) Step 7, 3rd part – the flame carry over tube has an open side, MAKE SURE THE OPEN SIDE IS FACING THE FRONT. If it's facing the back, the tube won't work. 4) Step 10, 3rd part – if you don't have small hands (I don't, they're gigantic) getting the nut on is really difficult (but not impossible). It took me about 4 hours to assemble, but I took a "union break" every 60-90 minutes and ate a quick lunch. Also, I'm really OCD so I took my time, looked at the instructions carefully, and cleaned up as I went.
Removed a section in my camper where the entertainment area is and installed. Works great. Instead of propane furnace heat, I can use this https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo to heat the camper as long as it's hooked up to shore power. Only thing I do not like is there does not seem to be a thermostat. I'm presuming it has a built-in one so it does not overheat. Really like all the other color options it has to offer.
THESE GIRLS ARE MUCH CHEAPER IN CANADA THAN THEY ARE IN THE U.S.A. BECAUSE OF THE IMPORT TAX AMERICANS HAVE TO PAY.
UP HERE IN CANADA THE PRESTIGE PRO 665 IS $ 4,120 CDN DOLLARS INCLUDING THE COVER ,WHICH IS
$3,100 IN US DOLLARS. ABOUT 20% CHEAPER THAN THE US PRICE OF $3,700 US WITH NO COVER.
If I buy a propane model can I change it to natural gas later?
Can you cook with a smoke box in the pro 500?? I would think you could …right? Also how well does the smoker box work on the 665
Looking at replacing a Weber genesis II 310. Loved that size and quality, the new webers all feel like spirit quality. Which Napoleon would you recommend in that similar size and price range?
Great videos. I recently went through the decision process on a 4 burner grill, and initially was attracted to the phantom. After a second look, I decided on the PRO 500. Yes it is more money, however the features were worth it for year around winter BBQ. The lid of the PRO is double layer which will retain heat better, and it has an extra wind baffle. The rotisserie kit is also beefier. It is an awesome grill!
Hi, thanks for your videos. The cast stainless on the phantom are an upgrade from the regular 500, but are they better than the thicker stainless on the pro500?
Also, does the rotisserie motor from the phantom runs from the same battery pack?
Thanks
Wow you missed so many features on the Pro 665 like the multi color cascading knob lights and being able select the color you want. The slide out tank holder for ease of change. I just tracked my pro 665 shipment. Cant wait for it to get here. My wife authorized the purchase as a birthday gift. I was her idea to begin with. I am so grateful for her. I'm already looking at video's on how to cook using the features. It'll be 20 degrees outside I'm gonna be on the grill.
Can I use a cast iron pan on the searing side burner? Thanks!
Thanks. How foes the Phantom matte black finish wear versus the stainless?
Looking at this right now You provided a lot of info – too bad the big boy 820 series does not come in black enamel with cast iron and the drumsticks hanger
Enjoyed watching your video! I bought my husband a Prestige 500 two years ago and we love it. One of my favourite feature is the Sizzle zone, I love how hot it gets and how quickly it renders the fat of steaks, which gives an awesome BBQ taste.
We will always buy Napoleon brand because they make great products, the warranty is incredible and the company is Canadian like me.
Thank you so much! Specially about the prestige 500 versus the pro500, this is exactly where I was hesitant and I think you just made my decision so much easier!
Great presentation i just wish i could afford the prestige grill. Thanks for this video.
do you guys sell the p500 ambiance edition? grey hood with stainless infrared grill? was the best selling before the phantom
this video is awesome and it really helped me a lot thank you!!!
Good overview of the models, always a good job of going over the features that matter. I went with the Prestige myself. The price difference between that and the Pro, even the Phantom, is just too steep for the difference in bells and whistles. Instead I spent that difference on a bbq gazebo AND a second charcoal kettle bbq for improved quality of life and greater flexibility while grilling. I then spent about $50 and 30 minutes on amazon finding some wire racks to fit and better organize the storage cabinet. The cast iron side burner rack does require a bit more maintenance but I consider that a wear item where if I do a poor job maintaining, I will still get some use out of it with the option to upgrade in the future.
I started to watch your videos awhile ago when deciding what grill to buy. I do a lot of smoking and had gone from a masterbuilt electric (lived in an apartment so only thing I could use) to buying a house and going with a Traeger. Missed that quick cooking ability with a gas grill. Started to show my wife these videos and thought she would think I was nuts to spend the money on one of these. Even offered to get one of those big box store ones that last 3 years but she said let’s save and get a good one. This weekend we just got our prestige 500. It is awesome! How quick it heats and the sear station. The wife already wants to try the duck recipe I’m the cookbook that comes with it. Also for those that may think it looks small the 500 is quite a good size you just have a tall host presenting them.
This was VERY helpful. Thank you!
