INGREDIENTS
700g beef
20g oil for frying
40g butter
1 red onion
1 carrot
3-4 garlic cloves
2 tablespoons sour cream
1-2 tablespoons tomato purée
Fresh parsley

600g potatoes
30g butter
100ml warm milk

RECIPE
Cut the beef into pieces. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Brown the meat and sprinkle with salt and pepper. When one side is browned, turn the meat to the other side. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and fry until browned. Remove the meat from the pan. Melt the butter. Chop the onion and add to the pan. Fry a little. Cut the carrot into small pieces, add to the onions and fry. Chop the garlic cloves and add to the pan. Put the meat back in, add 300 ml water, put the lid on and simmer for about an hour. When the meat is tender, remove it from the pan. Add the cream and tomato purée to the sauce. Add a little more water if necessary. Add the meat to the sauce. Chop the parsley and sprinkle over the meat. Put the lid on and simmer for a further 10-15 minutes. In the meantime, cut the potatoes and cook until soft. Add the butter and milk and mash.
