The Konnected Joe comes with an automatic fire starter (AFS) and integrated wifi temp control which I used to test the low and slow portion as well as hot and fast for my 700f+ sear.

I dont know how I feel about the new grill. I feel that it takes all the fun out of sitting next to it on a sunny day with bears and looking after your food and having good conversation with family and friends? Its a fool proof bbq now. 😢

What was the thing you plugged in?
I use a SmartFire device to control the temp for long cooks (it bought me some peace of mind). However, I noticed that the air flow it generate seems to make the coal burn a faster. In your next video, could you investigate and measure this as well?
This is interesting. To your knowledge, do you think they plan on having the same thing for Classic3? I currently have a classic2 and I feel I lack some versality provided by the additional vertical space.

Looks nice but I don't need a fancy Kamado Joe to get it to hold 250 or get it up to 650+ for searing. The electric starter would be nice but my $10 harbor freight heat gun has been working fine 😂

I'm assuming the fan got it up to searing speed faster than the Kamados without blower assistance? Of course if you're trying to rest the protein for a certain amount of time does it really matter at that point?
