  1. ~ Ingredients ~
1 block of (silken) tofu (500g)

    – Sauce –
    2 tbsp soy sauce
    2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tsp smoked paprika (divided in half)
    1/4 tsp curry powder
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1/4 cup cornstarch

    ~ Instructions ~
    1. Drain tofu, wrap in paper towels or a clean kitchen towel, press for 30 minutes
    2. Freeze tofu overnight
    3. Thaw tofu completely, and again drain, wrap, and press for 30 minutes
    4. Preheat oven to 375ºF
    5. In a separate bowl, mix the Sauce ingredients: soy sauce, vegetable oil, curry powder, garlic powder, and half of the smoked paprika
    6. Pat the tofu dry, and break it into chunks. Mix it into the sauce
    7. Add and mix in the cornstarch and remaining half of the smoked paprika
    8. Sprinkle oil onto a baking sheet, place tofu chunks onto baking sheet, bake for 30 minutes
    9. Pile tofu on top of a wooden cutting board, and serve with a very large sploot of ketchup (catsup?) & a swirly of something that looks like mayonnaise. Garnish with basil, probably, and enjoy

  2. Coming here from a carnivore channel that made all meat "mac n cheese", and I just have to say to each respective food camp, if you're going to the trouble to make your food into the thing you're really craving, examine your choices.

  3. Thanks, I just made this! (I didn't have curry powder, but it tasted fine without it, I actually added a little bit of tapatio sauce instead… also my local grocery store is a bit hit or miss with its tofu selection, and they literally only had a block of "extra firm", so the texture was a bit off). Anyway, it was very chicken-like… actually, it was uncanny how much it resembled the chicken nuggets they served us in public school (like, the only thing that could make them edible was drowning them in bbq sauce). Okay, to be fair, they were slightly better, since it was tofu it wasn't nervy nor did it have weirdly hard bits in it, but other than that – spot on flavor and texture to high school chicken nuggets 😕🤷🏻‍♀

Do you know what tastes like chicken?… CHICKEN!!!

  5. To be honest I really dislike the factory chemistry labours food which looks like meat, only reading the ingredients is disgusting, but this recipe all made from natural food looks amazing I will try this
