Head on down to Santa Barbara County. Guadalupe, Nipomo, Oceano, Orcutt or Santa Maria. Give authentic Santa Maria style Tri Tip BBQ a shot. I know that you will enjoy it. Besides, after you BBQ the whole tri tip you can still cut it into steak size pieces. Seriously. Give it a shot. 😃
I'm bummed i cant like this video twice. As a California native, I love seeing people use Tri-tip differently.
Happy birthday old fart
Happy 40th Birthday Bones!
SF is a total cesspool like they say on Fox News, right!!!!!
There are many places that cut tri tip into steaks. Sometimes labeled as coulotte steaks. When cubed they make great stew meat cuts.
I was shocked to find out the rest of the country doesn’t get tri tip.
How did you like California?
"I assume that's food from Burma?"
Nope. They're just serving python.
Wait! That's a great idea for a video Brad.
Let's smoke some snake.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BONES!!!
Belated birthday wishes to Bones! 🥳Welcome to the 40+ club! 💪And I love the "travel vlog" videos. Especially the the family ones. They're just so wholesome!
video was legit, epic trip
Happy Birthday Bow
Love the travel vids Brad 🙌🏼 thoughts on traveling with lighting that's utilitarian: petzl headlamp, very small great battery life, three settings for lumens. I bought mine for night time hiking and running $70, then saw that Outdoor Boys uses them for all his filming! AAA batteries or obviously better yet the rechargable option. Just a suggestion buddy!
Belated happy birthday Bones!
I absolutely love these videos. I love the regular BBQ videos too, but watching you try out and also cook different foods from usual is wonderful. One of the things I really appreciate about your channel is you don't consider the only thing worth eating to be beef with some fried foods on the side and occasionally pork.
Native to California and I 100% agree with the statement in the title.
Love these videos. Thanks for making them happen!
Love the travel videos. Your faithfuls will watch them. Keep them coming!
What’s the Burmese restaurant? You said the name so fast and scanned the menu so fast I couldn’t tell what it was. And then you didn’t list it below.
He’s in Austin and she’s in Oakland. Tells me everything I need to know about that family
Love the travel videos
Happy birthday Bones. As a long time resident its cool to see you guys in my area though no one from nor cal calls it San Fran.
Excellent ideas. I'd like to hear the weight and cost of the meat to help me plan future meals.
Happy born on day Bones
Happy bday bones geat food spread wanted to make tri last weekend couldnt find any dang you midwest
Nice to occasionally see accomplished cooks using sub-optimal equipment, and the tricks used to improve the results.
Burma Superstar is so damn good. If you go again I recommend the tea leaf salad and whatever laksa type soup they had (mohinga?) Oh and it's at a few Vietnamese restaurants but get you mouth around The 7 Courses of Beef sometime.
Love the travel videos. Keep em coming!
Happy birthday, Bones!
Love your travel vids!
What’s the name of that fish house!
There's a reason no self-respecting Californian would cut (and cook) a tri-tip like steaks. I'm sure it was fine/good/maybe great but bruh…. that was painful to watch.
Happy birthday boner!
I started cooking them on skewers 2 years ago and now that's my favorite way to cook them. Perfect char yet very tender and juicy.
Sea Ranch! A fantastic place to just go and do nothing but cook, read, sit, and eat. Not particularly in that order.
The best way to buy tri-tip is untrimmed. You can get them for around $4.99 a pound that way when on special. Then trim down leaving a fat cap and render down the trimmed fat into tallow.
Tri tip steaks have been around for a long time. They used to call them Coulotte steaks. They would cut up Tri tip and charge more for them.
The travel vlogs are actually my favorite videos that you do. Hope you keep them up!
Your sister is just like you. I like her. Your wife is a babe. You did good for yourself. Congratulations
Happy birthday 🎉
That Weber grill with the dead ignitor issue might have been nothing more than swapping out a AA or AA battery
Happy Birthday Bones 🙂
