I'm not sure you need to eat BBQ..EVER…ive NEVER had a salty brisket. Sounds like you just don't like meat.
I’m just glad you realized that Terry Black’s isn’t the only bbq restaurant in Texas, unlike everyone else who has tried Texas bbq for the first time. However, you did go to one that is way overpriced.
If you don’t wanna wait in line for Terry’s, Cooper’s is DEFINITELY a good second choice

coopers is mediocre at best. Basically like going to spring creek.
Could have waited 30 minutes and had MUCH better bbq
using a fork ? tisk tisk. Also the line is worth the wait at blacks.
The reason there is a line at the other place is it’s the best.
