An amazing hack for when you have that tiny little bit of strawberry jam left in the jar, chuck in some cream, shake well and you have an amazingly easy strawberry whipped cream that uses up that left overjam

One of my favorite treatments of fresh strawberries is to macerate them with a bit of sugar & a red fruity wine like an Old Zinfandel. My Italian family did this all the time in the spring. 😋 In the summer we did this with fresh nectarines or peaches. Very yummy.
I've been lightly microwaving my strawberries as well as macerating them to get that 'eating strawberries in hot summer'. OMG so good.

Strawberry shortcake isn't genuine without real shortcake, – not cake. It's similar to a crumbly biscuit, but sweeter and you slice it in half while hot, butter it, and serve it topped with strawberries and real whipped cream. YUM

Rhubarb episode please! Also next time you make a strawberry rhubarb pie, replace the strawberries with freeze dried raspberries. This warmed pie with fresh raspberry ice cream is life changing.

You need to try Hood strawberries from Oregon. They only last a day or two after picking but they are sweet unlike the green picked strawberries you get in the store.
Does the strawberry sauce stay soft when layered into the ice cream? Or does it turn icy?
In Switzerland there is a type of strawberry called "Wädenswil 6" which has the strongest forest strawberry taste you can imagine It is in my opinion THE best tasting strawberry that exists, my mother baked a pie with it once and it literally tasted like something straight out of heaven. Unfortunately its very rare to come across in other countries since this type of strawberry does not grow well commercially and I miss it lots since I moved countries.
