Uzbek Pilaf With Beef Recipe

Ingredients

🧅 Rice – 500 g
🧅 Onions – 2 pcs.
🧅 Carrots – 2 pcs.
🧅 Vegetable oil – 100 ml
🧅 Beef – 500 g
🧅 Water – 1 l (+ more for rice)
🧅 Seasoning for pilaf (cumin, dried barberries, curcumin, dried garlic, pepper)
🧅 Raisins – 2 tbsp.
🧅 Salt – to taste
🧅 Garlic – 4 gloves

Rinse the rice several times, until the water is clear.

Cut the onion into half rings.
Pour oil into the skillet, and heat oil over medium heat. Add onions. When onions are soft, add meat.
Slice carrots into thin strips.
After 5-7 minutes add carrots. Stir everything together.

Add 1 liter of water, seasoning for pilaf, and raisins, stir everything, and stew on high heat for another 5-7 minutes.

Add the rice, flatten it out evenly, and pour as much water as was 2 cm above the level of the rice.

After the rice has absorbed the water, add the garlic, reduce the heat to medium and cook until the rice is done.

Close the lid, turn off the heat, and leave the pilaf to infuse for 30 minutes. Pilaf is ready, enjoy.
It can be served with boiled quail eggs, hot pepper, and fresh vegetable salad.
