There are so many flours you can make now, and save money, almond, buckwheat, brown rice, white rice, oat, and more. This may be a learning curve but it will end up being second nature if you have to continue it.
Also you can use cooked cauliflower for a lot of "crusts" as well and instead of rice if you chose too. Cauliflower pizza crust is very useful, and full of exra nutrients and fiber……❤
You should look into watching three rivers homestead, she is gluten free, and grinds all her flours, as well as rolling her own oats, i have learned so much from her.
As far as school goes, my parents divorced when i was 5, mom left, so we no longer had breakfast really, as dad was at work, and we didn't ever hsve lunch, we went to a smaller Christian school, so no hot lunches available, if you didn't bring anything, you didn't get anything….. and dinner at home was either cooked pasta with salt n pepper, rice with salt n pepper, or fried potatoes, if we had anything…..otherwise it was just drinking as much water as you could to feel full…. I live in Michigan ,USA. So did your school experience influence you home schooling your children, or are you doing it because you want them home….. both ?

You could try vada, South Indian fried bread that is made with rice flour.
Nutritionist Adelle Davis said boarding school diet ruined her ability to have children. The diet was so bad for growing girls.
It looks similar to a south Indian dosai and an Ethiopian Injera, both with alternative grains and ingredients.
Hey girl, Great video as always. Now HEALTHY U is your best bet for rolled oats. I have bought mine there for years for granola and muffins, and they are cheaper too than any other stores. Check out any close to you and let me know. Keep doing what you do!

I have been drying cassava since we have quite a lot from our "shamba". My former house help used to make ugali with it for herself, was wondering what i will do with it but now i know. will definitely try the bread.
I went to boarding school in high school and I HATED it,,, 😭,,,, the people were so horrible to me,,,, I hated my whole highschool experience,,,I was among the students taking special meals and thr food was terrible 😂,,,,, I survived on snacks and pocket money,,,,
Hehehe!! I love the topic. I was a apecial diet person still struggle with beans. But in our school special diet was not special it was a potato or 2 and lots of cabbage. I have PTSD ya cabbage coz i ate it every day for 4 yrs. Now cabbage can rot iny house. Boarding school maneno.

Hi suzy, this is really a nice video, but you really have to scruitinize through the ingredients of those proceeeed foods like those cornflakes, the usually contain cornstarch or maltodextrose as sweeteners and thus they have some amount of gluten in them, even some oats have some gluten in them like the Quaker oats. Try getting rolled whole oats. And for a tip elimination diet works better for 6-8wks, thats how you will be sure and give the body chance to recover and heal. He most likely have gluten sensitivity ant celiac disease coz if it is celiac disease it will manifest since birth. We are alot on this journey, u can reintroduce slowly for him. All the Best.

Hi Suzzy, a hack for the gluten free meals- soak the legumes overnight and use your blender. I make chickpea crepes and use that method. Perfect every time !
In my family we had two people who didnt eat black night shade vegetables, and it was like our parents favorite thing to buy and eat in our household.. so those kids who didnt eat they had special special special food to eat and us we would be forced to eat that black night shade vegetable..ooh I wd question why mom favoured these two who didnt eat it..we reached a point where eating it was our worst miserable day….Now that am grown I look for it like nothing ..its my favorable vegetable now😂..

To reduce allergies, I am also striving to wash curtains and lounge cushion covers every quarter. I also hoover rugs a lot. Having duvet covers, mattress protectors and pillows protectors too and washing those quite regularly helps. All the best.
