Cracker barrel copycat recipe from the midnight baker is the best it uses Ritz crackers. I use that recipe every time never disappoints. Makes for a nice moist meatloaf can't stand dry hard meatloaf

The only PW recipe I have made that was totally disgusting was her meatloaf. She soaked a ton of white bread in another ton of milk. It was sooooo utterly wet and nasty. It never cooked up right.
And of course, it was the ONE time I was trying to convince my picky step sons that meat loaf was delicious!!! dang!!! I should have trusted my own recipe. I was trying to impress with a PW recipe. I trusted her!

I grew up on meatloaf once a week, my Mama's recipe was the same one she grew up on using Quaker rolled oats. We had some optional ingredients like a layer of cheese slices thru the center, which was a delicious surprise when slicing it 😋 also, I always enjoy seeing your chickens come to your door to see you 🐔🐓😊
I tried the Paula Dean way . . . AND ALL the bread stuck to the bottom of my meatloaf and I couldnt get it off, it was a soggy greasy mess!!! It sounded like a good idea BUT I wont do that again!!!!

My daughter is almost 36 years and she has changed in some foods she used to like doesn't anymore and my son eats things he wouldn't eat growing up. My Momma made meatloaf with bread and I did too for many years but now I use bread crumbs or crackers. I dont blame you on the bacon. If it doesn't look right or smell right then throw it out. I make a cheddar meatloaf that I add cubes of cheese in the middle of the meatloaf. I half the loaf and add half on the bottom, cheese then the other half and seal the meat around to keep the cheese in. I'm not fancy either. 😂
Meatloaf, depends on what we got, Cracker, oatmeal, breadcrumbs.. what I put in it! If by chance it is bread I toast it first season it the break it up mix it in.. plus all seasonings and secret ingredient!

My mom's meatloaf had oats as the binder and filler along with eggs, finely chopped onions so it held together better, Worcester, bell peppers, salt+ pepper, ketchup, mustard and A1 steak sauce.

Personally I live cracker barrel meatloaf, but…..the copycat recipe calls for crushed ritz crackers not bread…and it is delicious!! Just made one Wednesday night….yummo! Google cracker barrel meatloaf..easy recipe 😋! ❤😊
