Very entertaining, true and educational, my favorite cooking show.
You missed canned Hatch green chilis, they are consistently better than regular canned green and are available nationwide.
Don't forget Rancho Gordo. They provide many related items, beans, lots of beans.
Chili is pronounced Chil E, Chile is pronounced Chee Leh. There IS a DIFFERENCE.
Thanks for the great tips on chili, chile, peppers….
Thanks for clarifying the difference between chili/chile. It's always been a conundrum for me 🤔 Always enjoy Jack's presentations.
Where's the Hatch chile's?
Yeah, I was expecting to only see green chiles like Hatch and the handful of other brands I've seen in this. They conflated too many things with green chile. This is the first time I have seen such a variety of related, but not equivalent, products in a single taste test from ATK. I'm not sure I like it, since it feels like clickbait, which I haven't known this channel for. I think they should rename the article and the video. I can't believe I am giving a thumbs down to one of their videos. I don't think I ever have before.
The best green chiles are from New Mexico. No such thing as good Colorado green chiles. Don’t let them fool you.
Southwest 505 hatch green Chile. I get it at sams. Large 40 ounce jar. I’m single. Lasts me a month. Lol Queso. Green Chile stew. Spinach artichoke dip. Lots of things. Spicy!
I have a jar of McCormick cayenne that's over 5 years old and it's still so spicy I have to use half of what recipes call for.
As a New Mexican, I can tell you right now that there are NO canned green chiles worth buying. I've tried them all, and they are all flavorless mush. The only one's worth anything are going to be in JARS and from Hatch, New Mexico. For chipotles the brand he showed here IS the best one, the sauce they are swimming in is incredible, the brand is Embasa. I would shy away from the brand La Costena if you have the option as they are far less flavorful and cost nearly the same. Enjoy the Chiles
Little lame coming from ATK
Going to buy Goya.💖💖👍💖💖👏💖🌏💖
Every recipe I've seen using chipotles has them prepared by mincing. So I just dump the whole can into the food processor. Then into ziplock bags and into the freezer. Break into pieces as needed.
Love Chipotlepeppers in adobo sauce, the best pepperoncini come from Greece.
I’ve found 505 Southwest’s to be really great for all uses. Always have a jar open in the frig
I love spicey, but your focus is too much on heat and not enough on flavor.
Love Jack’s comparisons!!!
I love Jack and his wisdom. He has a great smile, too.
I loved this short video. So informative.
The heat is on
I wish they would show less spicy alternatives. Many of us are intolerant to very hot spices
what about cherry peppers?
Chipotle pepper powder is also very spicy.
Please do store bought red wine vinegar.
Goya got involved in politics. Not sure if I want to buy their brand.
How about a dried whole Chile show? That would be great!
"The Cayenne is probably the spiciest thing here on the table."
