Do you ever grind your own cinnamon? Ceylon fan
Only the Ceylon cinnamon is really healthy for you. The other 3 not from Ceylon are not true cinnamon it is Cassia and hard on your liver. So don't eat those 3 if you like your liver to be healthy.
I love both Saigon and Ceylon cinnamon. Ceylon for its deep, balanced flavor and health benefits. Saigon for its punch and brightness. Ceylon is known as "true" cinnamon, whereas Saigon and others are in the cassia family.
Viatnamese cinnamon are not real cinnamon, those are cassia. Real cinnamon are from Ceylon (Sri lanka)
Cassia also comes from China, need I say more
Ceylon is the true cinnamon.
Take the original cinnamon and say that it doesn't taste like cinnamon 😂 this is ridiculous
Ceylon is the ancient name for Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 Ceylon cinnamon is from there 😊
Can't beat Ceylon cinnamon for a great cuppa…the American's choice of cassia actually tastes bitter and needs added sweetner when made into a brewed tea. Try the REAL thing and you won't look back!
And here, I don't buy any of them.
Ceylon cinnamon is the best. It has good flavor and original cinnamon was born in srilanka
Woolworths supermarket sells 'Dutch' cinnamon – heard of it? Any good? please let me know!
That “I’ll see you later” tag at the end of all of these videos is always so weird. I always try to stop the video before it get to that part.
Love cinnamon. Delicious and great for body. Health professional suggested tablespoon of cinnamon with tablespoon of honey to handle allergies. It worked after 3 wks.
I love using the cinnamon I get from Costco. It has a nice cinnamon taste but with a slight sweetness to it.

What is your opinion about Saigon cinnamon?
I gave this video a like anyway, but these cinnamons that you tested aren’t generally found at grocery stores, unlike the ones in your thumbnail. I was disappointed that you didn’t taste test the McCormick and Spice Island ones. 😕 Also, I looked at my grocery stores and couldn’t find Ceylon cinnamon, so I had to mail order it.
Penzeys cinnamon is my absolute fave💖
I only have and use Vietnamese cinnamon. The first time I purchased it I put it head to head with my store-bought cinnamon and my store bought cinnamon was awful but it was the best of the store brands!
I'm not the biggest cinnamon fan. Most recipes calling for cinnamon use way too much, in my opinion.
None if these sound good on my cinnamon toast except maybe Vietnamese Cinnamon that would open my sinuses.
If you are watching this review, you are probably a cinnamon lover. I go through a lot in sweet and savory dishes, herbal teas, and as kombucha and water kefir flavoring. Cassia is extremely high in coumarin content. As little as 1/2 tsp of cassia per day can cause serious, permanent liver damage over time.
Unlike Cassia, Ceylon (true) cinnamon is safe for regular consumption. It's also delicious when you buy it fresh in stick form (many individual pieces of bark layered into each stick). Much more flavorful than pre-ground cinnamon.
This is the only test kitchen review that I take issue with, and I feel it is a disservice to viewers not to mention the coumarin content and its associated health risks. I wish I had known about it 20 years ago. Cassia cinnamon should come with a warning on every jar.
Hah! You can taste cinnamon from the jar, just make sure to just drop a tiny bit on a moist tongue and let the moisture set into the powder without breathing.
No mention that for years (and still) instead of actual cinnamon from Sri Lanka (Celon), Americans were using Cassia, labed "Cinnamon U.S.P." due to some kind of trade embargo.
Oh, there, Jack slipped it in near the end.
Americans call Cassia, a different spice, cinnamon and they love it but it is plainly a different spice, just try to make a Cinnamon infusion out of "Vietnamese Cinnamon"!!
I agree with some of the comments below. For health benefits and least toxicity to the liver, ceylon is the best.
Last one the one I have in my pantry 🤦🏻♀️😂🤣
Why don't you compare items that most of us can actually find in the supermarket?
I love the Vietnamese cinnamon from Costco!
I'm not surprised at all that Penzey's Vietnamese cinnamon was the top pick of the taste tester because its flavor is outstanding. I discovered it years ago and bought bottles for family members. It's in a class by itself.
I have toasted cinnamon in a pan and ground it in my spice grinder.
Pure cinnamon oil will add an extra kick. A single drop or two added to anything will add a volcanic spiciness of cinnamon that will bring tears to your eyes and fire to your mouth. (Note, be careful not to get it in your eyes or on your contacts.) Not for the faint of heart.
Wait. I thought she preferred Penzeys brand? Why was the other one the winner!?
Original Cinnamon is Ceylon Cinnamon from Sri Lanka
Badia cinnamon was so bad in each recipe that I threw it out
Ceylon Cinnamon is the real Cinnamon, the rest are actually Cassia, sold under the name Cinnamon.
Most 'cinnamon' in the US is actually ground cassia. I'm amazed they don't mention it.
I absolutely agree with Bridgette with the Vietnamese cinnamon, it's my favorite also
Damn 😂 she is really digging it with all that cinnamon bowl.
