I don’t like the Vitamix wide container. They gave in to their customers and lost some quality. I’m happy they are focused on the 48oz narrow containers now.
1500 watts is all you are going to get from a standard outlet in the US. If an appliance says it draws 2100 watts it's lying to you.
I have this 5200 blender in white. It's a great blender but, very pricey. It cost close to $500.00. I have only two issues with this blender. Firstly, It has a high and variable speed button but, no low speed button. Secondly, the center dial with the numbers 1, through 10, renders useless. I don't see or hear any difference when I turn the dial.
It's this a current model? How much is it or it's replacement?

I love my Blendtec…Look how tall the vitamix is, over head cabinets would have to be quite high…
I got my vitamix 5200 about 12 years ago, and I still use it every single day. Best blender!
I wish there was a decent blender at a reasonable price with a glass jar. I just use mine for making smooties. I don't need any fancy.
