Hi
Not ONE mention of the surface coating? PTFE ogg gasses way before 500F, and is a TOXIn, not just PFOA like its claimed. Its what you heat and put in your body. Something everyone should be aware of, as you do it almost everyday of your life. Toxins accumulate in your body over a long time, not over night.
Only talked about two of them out of the lineup lol
The presto is garbage don't buy it. I have it and the heating element doesn't cover the entire cooking surface.
I have a toastmaster brand griddle that has lost it's nonstick. It was great in the beginning, but, it's been a year, and although pancakes, french toast, and grilled cheese are not sticking, the fried eggs are. And, the coating is bubbling up.
Bacon Wraps.

My bargain level Oster griddle is coming up on its last days, and I'm shopping. One thing I learned today is that the BroilKing Professional model is no longer $92.00. It's $179.00, quite a price jump in just two years.
Now they are 220 not
99.00 I'll pass
Broil King ouch $169.00 and $139.00 on amazon
You had me at pancakes.
"Size is important" and Julia laughs lol!
Is it possible to use a small pan on top of one of these?
Could it act like a hot plate for a small pot or pan to make soup or something "non flat"?
I'm currently looking for an efficient way to do some basic cooking in a camper with very limited space and plugs.
Has anyone tried this?
Broiling is made in the USA!
$99! $43! No thanks, just get yourself a regular griddle.
Your winner is $249.85 Canadian on Amazon. More than double then what is said in the video. I do realize that you are talking American dollar.
been using the broil king for over a year and love it.
The Broil King will be my next purchase. I have an Oster with ceramic-coated surface and drip tray. The temperature variance across the surface is horrendous, as well as the accuracy of the temperature indicator dial. For example, when the dial shows 350º, the true temperature is in the upper 400ºs. Tired of the frustration of trying to dial it in—it will soon be a donation. Thanks for another great review!
Thank you for making this video!
America's Test Kitchen… I LOVE YOU …..You are the Best….. All of You at the studio ROCK. Thank You….
I would love to see the new Blackstone E-series griddle tested. It has a hinged removable glass lid and is in the hundred dollar range. I'm waiting for more people to test it.
Avantco electric griddle for the win.
Here's a list that helped me out.
