Ever since I saw the video on making beef back ribs I wanted a chud box. I'm pretty sure a quarter of the views on that video is me. I've made it on my old ass traeger so many times and it's still my favorite. So if I come into some money I'm heading to Texas to buy one and eat at Leroy and Lewis. Keep up the great work!

If I were to purchase a chid grill since I live in San antonio do I still need tonhave it shipped to me or can I just drive the 1.5hrs to pick it up my self?
Hey Bradley, Chud box owner here. I haven't seasoned my grill yet and I am getting some surface rust. Do you recommend hitting any parts of it with high temp paint or do 100% linseed oil? Also, do I need to sand off the rust with a pad or should I hit it with a grinder and a soft wheel? Thanks!
Sounds like it's time to introduce the stainless Chud Box. Don't apologize for the price of your high quality gear. People pitch crap grills that cost $500+ every 5 years. As someone who uses high-end cutlery that I've owned for 25 years, it's easy to see that a one time investment in quality is very worth it.

I went to Leroy & Lewis back in late August, and I was impressed by the unconventional menu they had. I followed Bradley's method for my last brisket, and it was sensational. This is what YouTube was made for.
I'm a Weber kettle guy so I think the chudd grill would work best for me. Your videos have helped me so much.

If I had the extra cash, I would choose the stainless Chud grill. Right now I use a gas grill and a Weber Kettle. Both work for my needs, but I would love to add a Chud to my arsenal!

I can not say enough positive things about my Chud box. It has become my go to wing, rib cooker. I am a direct heat convert!

How do you feel about a chudbox with an adjustable grate as with a parilla so you get the best of both world's? I think LSG has something similar.

As amazing as your pits are, I feel the need to question how effective the notches are on the air intake latch. Growing up with a woodstove, the difference in airflow from the bottom ash door only came in the following forms on a cam style latch: half latched, unlatched but still closed, unlatched and cracked open 1/4”. Everything after that was the same, or wide open.
So when I see latch slots 1/2” apart, I have to question their use or effectiveness. I would just think that they need to be much tighter together. I wasn’t there though and maybe you all tested that already so forgive me if I’m wrong on this.
I wish I could afford a Chud box, but my aluminum office trash can is getting me by for now. You’ve created an amazing product and business model, and a great channel so thank you.
Why not just add the vents from the grill to the box and brackets for an adjustable coal bed and the sliding grates? Then the chud box could do like 99% of what the grill can do.
Wish there was a hybrid, having 2 different types is EXTREMELY UNNECESSARY
