  1. Very interesting recipe, but unfortunately I did not like the end result. The steak ended up being noticeably sweet and 'coffee-y' which was off putting. The steak did sizzle when I put it on the heated sheet pan, but browning and crust development was minimal. The sweet potatoes were good though.

    That looks delicious!

    If you're not averse to using plastic bags, I like to use large ones for coating the veggies.
    It save a dish and is a lot easier when doing the longer items that have trouble fitting the bowl/dish.

  3. Nice try and if you don't know any better it may be fine for you – but steaks need a sear – and better yet – a flame! At the very least – Not much more work to take a saucepan from the stovetop into the oven for finishing.
