Having watched both this review and your review of the Pit Boss 1150 Navigator, would love to know which one you'd pick? Both are pretty much the same price in Australia, and looking at getting one this weekend.
Great vid, it was a balanced assessment of the smoker, I am considering buying myself one for Christmas, I'm in Auckland New Zealand . so it doesn't get very cold , We had a very cold winter one year and I could swear I saw a snow flake fall outta the sky lol

Does it have a way to dump all the pellets? I'm between this and the Masterbuilt gravity 1050..
The Z Grill 1000E is a horrible design… The lid does not conform to the barrel… The lid has bigger gaps than the Grand canyon running along the sides…Another flaw in the design is the removable Ash pan from the back…you lose a ton of heat and smoke because of the gaps on the side of the lid and you also lose a ton of heat and smoke because of the removable Ash pan that is not sealed off… I used to be a distributor for Z grills and they are impossible to work with and their customer service totally sucks ,there is a huge language barrier!
Great video! After doing hours and hours of research on pellet grills. The Z Grill seemed to be the best priced and a quality product. Well, I've been using my Z Grill for months now with no disappointment. My food comes out perfect. It makes me a better cook.

Had my z grills 1000E for 5 months. The ash clean out feature is really cool, making cleaning up the ashes extremely easy. To clean out the Rec Tec I still need to use an awkward Shop Vac.
