Homemade 100% Whole Wheat Bread

Ingredients

Milk, warm – 1 cup
Sugar – 2 tbsp
Dry yeast – ½ tbsp
Wheat flour / atta – 3 cup
Salt – 1 tsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Water (as required) – ½ cup
Little butter to brush on the bread

Recipe

To start, take a large mixing bowl and pour in 1 cup of warm milk. Stir in 2 tablespoons of sugar and ½ tablespoon of dry yeast until thoroughly mixed. Let the mixture stand to activate the yeast. Next, incorporate 3 cups of wheat flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 2 tablespoons of oil, ensuring that the ingredients are well combined. Gradually add ½ cup of water and make a sticky dough. Cover the dough with cling film or a damp cloth and let it rest for 2 hours, allowing it to double in size. Afterward, punch down the dough and shape it into a cylindrical form. Let it rest again, this time for 30 minutes or until the dough has risen just an inch above the rim of the loaf pan. Bake the bread in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit) for 30 minutes.
