Portion servings: 3-4 pax
Preparation time: 05 mins
Cooking time: 45 mins

Ingredients:

Bread slices 8-10 pcs
Oil 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Dry red chilli diamond cut 2 pcs
Green chilli diamond cut 2 pcs
Garlic chopped 1 tbsp
Curry leaves 12-15 pcs
Onion chopped 1 pc
Salt ½ tsp
Tomato chopped 1 pc
Ginger chopped 1 tsp
Green chilli chopped 1 tsp
Red chilli powder ½ tsp
Garam masala powder ¼ tsp
Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
Salt as per taste
Water as required
Capsicum diced 2 pcs
Toasted bread
Coriander chopped 1 tbsp

Method:

Dry Toast the Bread:
Begin by dry toasting the bread slices on a tawa or in a toaster until golden and crispy. Set them aside and let them cool slightly.

Cut the Toasted Bread:
Once cooled, cut the toasted bread slices into small squares or bite-sized pieces.

Heat Oil:
In a pan, heat oil over medium heat.

Add Mustard Seeds:
Add mustard seeds to the hot oil and let them splutter.

Add Red and Green Chillies:
Add dry red chillies and green chillies (both diamond-cut) to the pan. Stir them for a few seconds to release their flavor.

Sauté Garlic:
Add chopped garlic and sauté until it turns golden brown.

Add Curry Leaves:
Toss in fresh curry leaves and stir well.

Cook Onion:
Add the chopped onion, stirring and cooking until they turn soft and translucent. Add a pinch of salt to help them cook faster.

Add Tomato:
Add the chopped tomato and mix well. Cook until the tomato softens and forms a thick, saucy base.

Add Ginger and Green Chillies:
Stir in chopped ginger and additional green chillies for extra heat.

Add Spice Powders:
Sprinkle in red chilli powder, garam masala, and turmeric. Stir the spices well into the mixture and cook for a minute until fragrant.

Add Water:
If the mixture looks too dry, add a little water to keep it moist and prevent the spices from burning.

Add Capsicum:
Add diced capsicum and cook until they are tender but still slightly crunchy.

Add Toasted Bread Pieces:
Now, add the toasted bread squares to the pan. Gently toss them in the masala, making sure the bread absorbs all the flavors without getting soggy.

Garnish with Coriander:
Sprinkle chopped coriander over the top and give the dish a final toss.

Serve:
Serve the bread chilli hot and fresh, garnished with more coriander if you like. Enjoy your flavorful snack!
