It may not officially be summer yet, but the heat has reached SC and I am trying to avoid heating up my kitchen. I’ve got 2 Crockpots and I’m putting them to good use this summer. Come along today as we make a dinner, a side dish, and a dessert – all using slow cookers so we don’t have to turn on the oven! We’re even making some homemade ice cream. I hope you enjoy!

Mandy, everything looks amazing! I have never made a cobbler in the crockpot and Iβm excited to try it! Stephen is amazing cooking on his Blackstone!!
My old crockpot died. RIP 1974-2023. I found the exact crockpot at a yard sale in 2024 for $5.00! Score! My chunky applesauce tastes best in the crockpot that heats from the sides, not the bottom.
My original round crockpot is 40 years old and still works like a champ!
fOR the second dish I would slice up the orange and throw it in pot to let it cook with the Pork. Or even Apples.
I'm not sure what the life expectancy of a Crockpot is, but they do sure seem to last a mighty long time!!! And those carnitas look amazing!!β€π
Hi Mandy . Hope you all are well. Your food ALWAYS look AMAZING and DELICOUS. ππ«
Iβve got a 3 qt one that is 43 years old. It was a wedding present
I've had my Crock-Pot since 1975 and it's still going strong
The cobbler recipe is an old one my mom made in the oven. Cup of flour, cup of sugar, stick of butter, cup of fruit (or a bit more if you want), and bake at 350 until it is brown and bubbling. Any fruit works (canned peaches was one of her favorites), and served with ice cream was definitely the best way, but even leftover cold out of the fridge was still great!
I have blackberries that grow in our back yard. I'll give you the blackberries you make cobbler.ππ
hey is your Husband feeling alright? seems like he's had a signifigant weight loss recently outta the blue…??
I have one crock pot (the round blue one with removable insert) that i received in 1994 shortly after my youngest daughter was born. π
Blueberry cobbler!
Hey Mandy I just made your ice cream and blueberry cobbler. For some reason my cobbler didn't quite look like yours unless I just didn't dry my blueberrys good enough but it was still very delicious though. Have made cobbles like that before but in my oven. My crock pots are all fairly new I didn't always cook in a crock pot I am fairly new using crock pots, I was a pressure cooker kinda person. But now that I am retired I'm gonna cook more in crock pot. Thanks for these recipes can you give us more crock pot recipes please. God Bless Yall β€β€π
This may sound crazy, but I can eat an entire pot of beans with a bag of ruffles. I eat it like dip!
We have 2 crock pots…the oldest is the original Rival Crock Pot from 1978 (4th generation as the original one was made in 1971) !. Still works like a charm but we have found that we needed a newer, bigger one as well . We just got a Ninja Possible Pot (which is a crss between a crock pot, a steamer, a fryer, a baker and a mini oven). Love both and will be using both (at the same time) when we have summer gatherings and don't feel like grilling in the heat or being trapped in a hot kitchen!
45 yrs old
My mother's 1973 Montgomery Wards crock pot is pretty old and still works like a charm. Dave is making your baked beans recipe in it now!!
We were also having a problems with flies for some reason. Never before. Bought a fly zapper from Amazon and within hours no more flies.
My oldest crockpot was a wedding present in 1968, so as a previous commenter, itβs 57 years old and still works!
My crock pot is 50 years old !
The pork carnitas look good but you are putting the orange in the squeezer upside down try turning it around youβll get more juice same with lemons and limes π
Blue berry?
