  1. I take half of my cabbage and blanch it cut side down in salted water with few pieces of seaweed in it for about 2 to 3 min. Then I finely chop the other half and toss it in a bowl with a little MSG or salt. That way you get some nice, densely flavored cabbage, but it's not all soft and cooked. The first time I made gyoza from scratch I didn't use any MSG. They tasted very good, but the last time I made them with MSG, it was like an orgasm in my mouth. They didn't even need to be dipped in sauce. Don't be afraid of a little msg. Papa will tell you.

  2. Last time I made these, the little balls rested and I hand rolled them out with a rolling pin. .. I was not made to do that and will never do it again! This looks like a lovely option to use my pasta roller! Thank you!!!!!

  3. Every time I watch this video, which is at least once a year, I cringe so hard my stomach hurts. But I still watch it. Because I love gyoza. My students fear for my mental health and wellbeing (because yes, I watch this in class- I'm trying to spread the good word that is gyozA).

  4. 3.08$ for 1 pound of pork… Where I live, and depending on the amount of fat found in said ground pork, we pay between 3.99$ and 5.99$ a pound. And it's not fresh, it's made of a mix between frozen and fresh parts.

  5. so in your contry water/milk/flour cost 0 and pork cost 1 euro? coz here in greece the same amount of pork cost 7 euro dumblings around 3.5 milk 2 flour 1kg 3 euro and electricity 5 xD and didnt even count the sos 🙂

  6. Absolutely, without a doubt the best dumpies I have ever consumed!! The time it took to hand roll made the process a very fun and exciting time, I only rolled out 11 wrappers and had 11 dumpies, I have many leftovers so I will be excited for the next couple of days. Thank you for the fun and easy to follow video.

  7. Sec, just gonna go buy a marker, cookie cutter, pasta rowler, measuring cup, separate big bags of flour and a steam basket.
Oh wait, I forgot about the 2 hours of making that shit and buying all of it.

Holy shit you are so fucking pretentious it hurts.
