Hopefully never lol
Anyway, the quality of Weber has gone down in their kettles. Buying used seems to be the way to go nowadays
Johnny, great questions. I have no idea about buy quotes or other financial angles BUT I do love what SNS does. Being a non USA resident has stopped purchase of their kettle strictly based on shipping costs. Looks like modifying a Weber kettle is where I am going to stay. Now lets get some smash burgers on the grill!
I really don't think it's worth Webber to purchase S&S or any of the other similar products to which Webber makes. I do believe Webber does need to do a better job of continuously be looking for how to improve the products they have by looking at what they're competing companies and customers are doing with their products. I love Webber products but let's be honest they have a terrible history of rolling out new products and seriously being happy with what they provide instead of innovating. I've wondered for years wouldn't it be potentially cool if Webber made a quality built offset with the same construction of the double wall insulated porcelain covered steel that they're Kamado uses? Oh sure it would be expensive but DAMM that would be a amazing product. So no they don't need to buy another company. They need to simply do a better job of creating and making their own products. Great video Jimmy, have a great day 🌤 😂🔥👍
I have a Weber Performer Deluxe. I love the grill. The one thing I would love for Weber to have is the spinning grate. That is a nice feature. No need to Weber to buy SnS though. Leave them to do their own thing. Just keep innovating as they see fit.
I really want the S&S travel kettle
I doubt Weber would acquire SnS at this point. The SnS products aren't taking enough revenue away from Weber just yet. Now, when and or if they do Weber might change it's tune.
Weber 22" kettles made in the USA. SNS made in China. Enough said.
Weber acquired SnS?? wow 😮
No reason in my option to buy SNS. Weber just needs to make the adjustments you mentioned.
No.
Would be a lot of money just to be able to move the temperature gauge next to the vent.
no, competition is good for the marketplace
Brother Johnny I have a favor to ask you. My Smoker’s top part is getting surface rust. Can you please make a video of safely removing surface rust with safe chemicals? Unfortunately I lost the cover during storm and it’s top part of lid and the round body on the top started getting rust and before it eats away my expensive unit need some help safely removing and protecting my unit from future rust issues.
I have both. I cook on the SNS more. I like the thermometer and vent on the same side. Always use the smoke hole and probe port. The Weber seems to have a better paint job or coating though. I would tell Weber don't buy SNS unless they are planning to incorporate the SNS features.
Don't see why Weber would buy SnS grills. Couldn't Weber just incorporate any SnS features into their own grills, unless SnS has a patent. Also if SnS sales are less than 5 million a year, they're not hurting Weber financially.
I own both Weber kettles and a sns kettle. Sns quilty is not as good as webers. But the sns kettle cooks amazing. The port holes are so nice.
Good stuff Johnny. I'm a Weber fan and have never used a SNS product. I think Weber should not buy and SNS should not sell. Competition is good. I'm glad SNS is out there making what look like great products.
