Nonsense.
Where is the end of the video… where they actually make mashed potatoes?
Add your butter first! It binds the gluten…
Always just use a hand mixer.
I like the lumpy mashed potatoes with the skins. It’s a better texture. If i want them smooth it’d be as an icing on little meatloaf cupcakes with a brown gravy filling
Fork
Don't need another gadget that serves only one purpose. A hand mixer works fine.
He did this backwards. You say "drumroll" first then you do the drumroll. If he can't do that right, I don't trust his tip on fluffy massed potatoes.
I use a hand mixer, it’s about 50 years old and works like a charm. Fluffy and yummy every time.
With all due respect, this is nonsense. The best method for method for making fluffy mashed potatoes is a hand held egg beater. Whipped potates beat a ricer 10 times out of 10.
Bwahahahaha, this brit trying to con Americans. Buddy, try an Indian accent and mention taxes and jail!! 🤣🤣🤣
To anyone asking; The tool he shows at the end is a potato ricer.
A potato ricer comes with plates, each with different sized holes. You push the cooked potatoes through the holes and get small pieces of potatoes. They give you extremely fluffy mashed potatoes. No sticky, gummy, drywall mud here.
They can be found most anywhere, from ~$5-15 and are useful making applesauce, pie fillings, etc.
"But there's no need to rush out and buy one if you already have the more versatile food mill in your cabinet."
Sorry, I had a tough time with that last sentence.
Don't like the strong accent that's hard to understand.
What is a ricer?????
I was just telling someone this! The ricer is the only way to go.
You didn’t explain what that tool is.
Personally I like whipped potatoes, using a mixer. If you put the potatoes back in pot(after draining) to dry them before whipping , they are super fluffy.
Did he say a ricer? never heard of that
What about a mixer? Totally avoided that one…
I got a 2000 toyota ricer, will that work?
