  1. I have made this sooo many times including today. I started to venture into adding sichuan pepper corns & garlic too. Loved all the variations but this recipe will always be the best foundation to practice with & build on. No hassle, no difficulty, no fuss. Straight up easy. Love love love ! Thank you for such a great recipe.

  2. hello! I boiled over high heat for a very long time, but the sauce wouldn't thicken. What would you say I did wrong? I followed every step carefully. The pork belly tasted great and extremely tender, but the sauce wasn't what I wanted in terms of thickness.
