Cool
Very nice!
We have a Z-Grills portable smoker/grill we love. I do not recommend cooking bacon in it though. Huge fires. 🔥
What model did y'all get?
You should’ve gotten the version with the sear handle!
I bought the exact same pit boss. Pain in the ass to clean but worth it.
We’re in RV full time and have the same exact one! It’s what I cook on every night even in the winter! Love it!!
I go blackstone for breakfast and smokey joe for almost everything else, can't beat the charcoal flavor.
Keep us utb
I got One and love it…
Grilling is direct heat and BBQ is slow indirect heat
I have a larger pit boss for my home and it's awesome I live on the Central Coast of California and we regularly do tri tips ribeys and of course briskets! I think it's time to get a Pit Boss for the 5th wheel!
Yesssss!!! Smoker!!!!
Luckily, we have enough storage in our 5th wheel for both of them! We use the Blackstone more for breakfast and the Pit Boss for dinner.
I have the Traeger Ranger Grill, it’s similar. I love it!
How much does it weigh vs the 17" Blackstone? I'd guessing there is no griddle option?
Any idea of the watt hour draw at typical (hot) grill temps? I assume you can smoke on it low and slow too.. which should pull less watts but over more time. EDIT: I looked it up and while it says it's rated at 220W, it also says can run off a 100 watt inverter output.. but to use the electronic ignition to use a 1000W inverter. Interesting.
I've been using that exact same one for about a year and we love it. Seems to make everything taste great and requires minimal supervision, and uses minimal AC power. The highest maintenance part that I've had to deal with is grease buildup and a grease fire. I cooked a good amount of beef burgers and bacon on 400*+ temps and it ignited the grease. I clean my bbq's on a normal basis but this one definitely needs to be cleaned more frequently if fatty meats are cooked.
hi. the link to the pitboss is coming back as 'page not found'. also, i've been skeptical about a smoker/grill combo to do either of them well.. especially grilling. i went to their website and looked at the owners manual and it looks like it would have a big hotspot in the center of the grill and questionable direct heat besides that. do you find it gives even direct heat? or is it one of those things where the spot is big enough it is a easy work around? appreciate your thoughts and enjoy your vids!
Looks 👍
Don't you have to have it plugged in to power?
What time is dinner?
Very nice a friend of mine has one similar and having steaks 🥩 on it was awesome 👏 thanks Jared
Awesome to hear this just bought one to try this year camping. We tips are amazing help.
Do you have an alternative for summer months when it is really dry and they won't let you use a wood fueled cooking method? Many in the west only allow propane grills in the summer to cut down on fire risk.
Excellent choice. Most versatile. You will enjoy the experience.
Fantastic!
Kinders Seasonings have all been awesome on my Traeger at tree house! Edit, autocorrect changed the brand without me noticing… fixed it.
nice choice
Just got one myself and used it on our last outing. We cooked burgers one night and a pork tenderloin another night.
Excellent choice, very versatile, and if need be, you can get a small griddle that fits on the grate.
Sorry man, I love my blackstone.
My wife bought me this same grill for my birthday last year. We love it. Use it for all our grilling needs on the road. I have a larger version at home , so no learning curve for me.
We think alike!! I have one and LOve it!! Really enjoy your videos. I am currently putting together the water filter system you showed in a couple of videos ago. Thanks for what you do!!
