I don’t have the heart to eat octopus
I love octopus
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should
Not a fan of eating animals more intelligent than you are.
Remind me of the difference between roasting and frying.
Old video …
"That'll be 60 quid, mate" 😅
Poor octopodes. 🙁 I don't eat cephalopods because of their intelligence. (I, for one, welcome our new tentacled overlords!)
There's something about the texture of the suction cups that gives me the ick. I can eat all the other parts but not those cups.
If it works it’s not a myth 🙂
These creature are insanely intelligent. I wish we just left them alone
In 1990s NYC, There was a great Greek mid high end restaurant called Periyali. They had a grilled octopus starter made nearly the same way. Bought fresh then frozen to break down the fibrous flesh. Grilled then same after treatment. Plenty of lemon. Woof. Now I need some.
Eating an octopus feels so wrong
Do you mean cell membranes? Animal (octopus) cells dont have cell walls
Stopped eating octopus after like.. 2 documentaries.
They are just too damn emotionally and socially intelligent for me to justify it. They're wonderful little aliens and I love them lol
Octopus cells do not have cell walls.
"a very spanish way of consuming it" HELL NAW
Such an underwhelming taste and texture. Chefs took the shape and beauty so they can play makeup artists while taking advantage of everyone's ignorance haha.
Finally someone giving out great info on octopus. Been chef at a Spanish place for around a decade now and we do exactly that. Freeze it, steam it and then we opt to marinate it as well in some olive oil, lemon, parsley and garlic then roast it and hit with some aioli, chili oil, herbs and lemon zest for serving.
Forgot the cartouche
Jesus died on the cross to pay the price of our sins so that whoever believes and put their faith in Him may be saved.
" For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life " John [3 : 16]
And Jesus is coming back soon. This is why we need to repent and change so that we may be ready for the day of the last judgment.
(Repentance isn't just saying sorry. It also means turning away from our sins.)
"You also must be ready therefore, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him."
Matthew [24 : 44]
Choose well which path you will take.
“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few."
Matthew [7 : 13 – 14]
It just doesnt look like food
You can say "fried squid" not "calamaribabamari" or whatever. It's fried squid. It's squid. You pointlessly adopted a really useless svbhvm@n term for nothing.
Animal cells don’t have cell walls
I had to stop eating octopus after learning how smart they are. Definitely smarter than my idiot cousin, and I wouldn't eat him…
Something just feels wrong cooking/eating octopus. I can’t be the only one.
Octopuses don’t have cell walls mush
I don’t eat octopus (they have near human or human level, possibly even above intelligence) but this looks tasty
Wow so freezing it is extremely lazy and absolutely will ruin the flavor y’all acting like he’s a five star chef. This is like ordering surf and turf at dennys
Its awful to eat such a smart creature with absolutely No Taste just to be Niche
