Add whipped cream
Better with pecans on bottom between cherries and pineapple rings. We never used pudding. Not necessary because the pineapple juice makes the cake incredibly delicious

When I was a kid my mom would ask if I wanted a birthday cake from the bakery or baked at home….9/10 I said baked at home but it MUST BE a pineapple upsidedown cake. I think she was disappointed because she wanted a pretty cake …I wanted a delicious cake! 😂
My mother always made a pineapple upside down cake for our eldest brother.it was good for them I couldn't eat the damn thing….my mom and eldest brother both passed away in 2020 and 2021….mom used to make everyone a cake no matter the celebration. She even did our wedding cake.my husband and I were talking about the cake prior to his passing……our colors were royal blue,silver and white.so the cake was a blue velvet and the decorative accents were silver and icing white
