  2. I’ve cooked over live fire, propane grill, and a black-stone griddle but recently got a coal grill, thanks for posting this vid I can’t wait to try this recipe on the grill and thank you for being so thorough in your video!

  3. Bro. When I say this hamburger recipe slaps, I'm talkin' back-hand slap. I couldn't find 75/25, but 80/20 did the trick. The sauteed onions and mushrooms took it next level. Dude, I can't thank you enough for sharing. These videos have taken my grilling beyond what could be imagined. Wow. Just wow!

  4. I’m getting ALOT deeper into grilling and I had many questions. But no longer did you answer those questions but put on more good knowledge. Imma try that onion technique. And the grate cleaning technique. As well with the hickory wood

  5. Really old school here. My mom extended her ground meat with eggs, "cracker flour", and ketchup for flavor and thin it out a bit. I became the cook at ten, so that's how I've made burgers for the last 60 years. I've switched up the seasoning over the years, but about ten years ago, some family members needed gluten free, so I used oat flour that I ground, as the binder. Oats have a property of forming a colloidal state, moist, almost slippery like okra. First time I tried it, I was told NEVER to change it. I've seasoned it Italian, Middle Eastern, and Indian style, but, if I leave out the oats, I'm told it doesn't measure up. I never thought a recipe borne out of refugee poverty would be such a hit. If I'm grilling, there better be extra burgers to take home. I'm definitely going to try out the carmelized onions in the foil, it looked wonderful.

  6. Hi again from Perth Western Australia. Loving your videos you explain it all so well. The onions and mushrooms in the foil envelope is a cool idea I’m going to try it soon. We love mushrooms in our house. Especially the massive big field ones….not sure what you call those ones in the US.

  7. No expensive tools, no fancy equipment/technique, just backyard cookin! 🙌 I’m only half sorry for commenting so much 🤣 I also know the more comments, the more your videos show at the top of searches! Ima order an old school fire hoodie soon

  8. These look good a good tip for your seasoning take a medium white onion and grate it on fine side or put in food processor and pulse add to meat mixture and knead in onions are a tenderizer will make burgers super delicious

  9. Daddy DIY Grilling, I have much respect for your skill and I am going to make a suggestion. Will you consider wiping down your grates after you use the wire grill brush and then apply a final coat of oil/lubricant? The bristles on the brush rubbing against the grates surely leave very small pieces of the bristle debris on the grates. For me, oil/lubricant is the last thing that touches the grates before whatever I am cooking. Much respect and I love your content.
