  1. Looks great man! Removing the water pan may have prevented the leak? The only time my Bronco 1.0 leaked was when I used a water pan early on. There is so much moisture already due to the drippings that vaporize where I don't think you need a water pan. Tho I know you also like to keep it all clean also.

  2. The OK Joe did a nice job. That brisket looks great.

    I hadn't thought about charcoal consumption before you mentioned it, but it's not too surprising. We know lump doesn't last as long as briquettes and in colder temperatures all that external surface will give up the heat easily. One nice feature of this cooker is accessibility of the charcoal basket to add more. Once wrapped, other channels have suggested finishing their cooks in the oven. A good idea for us northerners once the cold weather sets in.
