  1. Yo Nikhil that mango isn’t optimally ripe!

    Real talk, mangoes can smell floral without being optimally ripe because ripeness isn’t binary it’s a spectrum. Each mango cultivar will smell differently when they’re ripe. What you’re looking for is the lack of tartness when you smell.

    Also, Alphonso (aka Hapus) mangoes are not easily available stateside due to export control restrictions.
