What other flavors do the Greek yogurts have? I've only seen coconut and plain.
Don't fall for the low fat myth. Full fat is better. Unless you're considering seed oils (such as canola) that's another myth, the worst thing for your health. Use olive oil, avocado oil or butter and bacon fat. Don't agree with me? It's your life. BTW, making your own is incredibly easy, especially if you have an insta-pot.
The Fage Greek yogurt has been my favorite for years and it makes me happy to see I'm not alone in that opinion. ☺
Homemade is the only way to go!
Not sure why he said Chobani Whole Milk Greek was thin… you could do brick-laying with that stuff. It's great. I usually agree with both of them… not this time, though.
Icelandic yogurt is where it’s at
Agree!!!!!!! Fage is the best.
Stonyfield is very good as well!!
Where do they buy these? Fage at Walmart is like $5-6
I love tangy and thick
Ive checked the comments and no one mentioned yogurt being Turkish lol
Greek Godess Honey is the Best
I actually like Cabot Greek yogurt. It’s almost like ice cream!
I make my own Greek yogurt. It's not hard to do. 🙂
Best greek yogurt on the planet is Ellenos in Seattle WA! If you're ever in Seattle and you visit Pike Places Market, make sure to stop by their store because it is THE most creamy yogurt I have ever had. Make sure to try the lemon curd, legit tastes like lemon meringue pie in yogurt form.
What about Icelandic Yogurt. I’ve been buying Siggi’s Icelandic &;it has a great taste, seems to be thicker, creamer than Greek Yogurt
I thought weigh was the better option for my weight gains in fitness. Is it not so w/ this type? What’s my better options to get the most fat, calorie, carbs protein & most live active cultures? I Try Fage 5% fat
Yogurt Turks
Even his name is Turkish
Yogurt = 🇹🇷
$8.49 YIKES. I always get Fage for $5.99.
How does the flavor compare to homemade? I've never tried anything else
didn't really need a test to figure out the original brands are better than the american brands 😁
I don't understand how anyone could like Greek yogurt's nasty aftertaste.
Wallaby’s is the best! Can be hard to find.
I often buy Oui. I like the flavor to mix with a Bob’s Red Mill muesli. And the glass container is useful to make small candles with beaded handles as gifts. 🥰
I have been using this yogurt for years, I always buy the full fat as it is the traditional style and our bodies need the fat. Contrary to what many have been told. Your brain needs fats to function & to lose fat you have to eat fat.
I love Fage Total 5% Milkfat yogurt ❣
I'm having one now with nutmeg, honey and organic Saigon Cinnamon ❣🥰 🙆♀️
The 2nd spoon was left at an angle so it fell over quickly. Why cheat? You lose credibility.
Love this series
I likeTrader Joe’s. But they never seem to include any Trader Joe’s products in their reviews.
I am part Palestinian and eaten laban my whole life. Yogurt for me was with pita and fresh lemon squirt and salt and olive oil. Never had sweet yogurt. Now I love Siggi's and I find it better than Fage.
I feel like the last person who eats regular yoghurt, I hate Greek yoghurt with a passion. The worst decision Panera made was switching their smoothies from the great yoghurt they used to put in smoothies to Greek crap – I remember when working there Corp saying it wouldn’t effect taste and was healthier but it ruined the taste of the drink. Clearly I’m in the minority though since everyone else apparently loves the stuff – I just wish it hadn’t displaced real yoghurt from the store shelves in the process.
Chobani is really "turkish" yogurt. It would have been an insult to Greeks if that came out on top.
Is it my imagination or at the end when they say “I’ll see you later “ it sounds super sexual?
It is almost impossible to find regular yogurt in our markets. I have yet to taste a Greek yogurt with a texture I can stand. How irritating that this stuff has taken over the name of yogurt.
I love Fage, but I also indulge in Siggi's Icelandic skyr
Chobani 😘😘😘😘honey
I make my own. I heat 5-6 quarts milk to 175 deg. F., then cooled to 110 deg. Add 1 cup of boot commercial yogurt & leave overnight in my warm turned off oven. Next day, I drain the yogurt in a fine sieve. I get about 40% whey (Jack said the commercial companies get 75%), which I freeze & use to make bread.
We have been buying Fage for years,it makes the best Tzatziki.
I prefer regular yogurt. It’s much better to eat with rice (Indian here). Also, regular yogurt is yummy, while Greek yogurt feels like a punishment.
Good to know the difference in price made a difference.
She does something weird with her tongue when she tastes and it’s very distracting
I substitute Fage for sour cream in everything. Tastes just as good & healthy.
I’ve been buying the runner up for a long time, may have to try the winner. 👍
Thank you. This was very helpful!
They should make any American companies that add thickeners pay back every penny in subsidies that the milk received.
We've been pouring out milk for years (no, pouring out millions of gallons of milk is not new, nor only because of Covid-19)
Fage s the original and best Greek Yogurt even chef Bobby Flay agrees. They finally stepped out the box, and started making flavored Greek Yogurt too, so they can compete with the other brands that already have flavored Greek Yogurt, but without making it taste too sweet, and unnatural. In fact to show integrity they did not even put any added sugar. Quality you expect from a brand that has been making Greek Yogurt since 1926. Outside of Fage the only brand that comes close to the taste even though it is not technically Greek Yogurt is Icelandic Yogurt.
I thought Greek Gods wasnt actually Greek yogurt. The protein content is low and the sugar is much higher. They always say "Greek Style"
4 is a rather small sample source. How does A.T.K. chose it's contenders? I would like to have known how Stoney Brook would have fared.
Darn it, I was hoping Cabot would come out on top. Love the thick creamy texture and I really like the full bodied taste. I sometimes add puréed berries and honey to make a killer dessert.
Fage hands down! O tried them all. I am diabetic and lots of them have sugar or fruit preserves. I can't eat those. Fage zero fat yogurt is tart. I do put some sugar substitute in it in the morning but it is thick, creamy and zi recommend it. Glad you like Fage but I have to use the Zero kind.
Love Fage—it’s the only brand I buy—but I’d feel better about it if it were organic and grass fed.
I buy Chobani for the sole reason that Alex Jones defamed them, and I feel they need some support.
