Whenever there was leftover bread at home my mother used to make this tasty and amazong bread poha recipe it's just do wonders with few different ingredients you can get this amazing taste. In this recipe I have tried to achieve the same. Hope you'll like it.
Ingredients:
Oil – 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 10-12 no
Onion, finely chopped – 1 no
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Tomatoes, finely chopped – 1 small
Salt – to taste
Water – just a splash
Garam masala powder – ½ tsp
Chaat masala – ½ tsp
Lemon juice – a little
Potatoes, cubed and fried – 1 no.
Bread, cubed – 10-12 no
Coriander leaves, chopped – handful
Method:
In a pan, heat some oil, add mustard seeds and curry leaves and let it crackle.
Add in chopped onions and saute it until it starts to sweat.
To it add coriander powder, turmeric powder & red chilli powder.
Then add tomatoes & salt, and cook it well.
Add garam masala powder, chaat masala and fried potatoes.
Mix it well.
Add in cubed bread and a splash of water, mix it well and cook for a few minutes.
Finish it with chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice.
Mix well and serve hot!
