I like the kiwi one. It makes a good for papaya salad
I cut my middle finger and my husband also cut himself so he banned mandolins from the house 😂😂😂.
What mandolin do they recommend?
I usually peel carrots with the peeler and use it to make longitudinal slices which will be chopped with a chefs knife – i don’t own a mandolin and don’t plan on buying one soon but this works well for salads or garnish, a bit too thin for cooking purposes but depends jow wtin your peeler slices
Hope it’s useful 💕
Do not operate a mandolin under the influence,it sent me to the ER.
Thank you for your honest advice!! Any brand do you prefer? Merry Christmas 🎄
Mandoline is super easy to clean with a brush, not hard at all.
I just use a potato peeler.
Love that you consider the effort to clean the tool. That’s usually the reason I stop using tools.
I just use a grater
I don't even need this, but i like her. She's sweet.
I love my peeler and it’s better than any other way
I find they’re just quicker than a mandolin. I bought the Good Grips OXO one after several similar gadget failures. It works very well.
Is it worth it? Let me work it
I put my thang down, flip it and reverse it

That's a peeler…
BUY A MANDOLIN! Get a good inexpensive mandolin! They ROCK! I use mine, keep it in the freezer (don't know why), pull it out to slice stuff up, and slide it back into the freezer! Easy.
Use the holder, buy a kevlar glove, mandolins are scary, but just be smart and safe.
When working in food prep in kitchens I always ended up with the mandolin.
No idea if I give off mandolin vibes, but they scare the bejeezus out of me. Don’t get me wrong I got super fast at using one, put those first cuts of the day always had me imagining my knuckles mandolined. Still do and yet I’ve never cut myself on one. Go figure.
Slightly dangerous? Just slightly???? 😅
Who is Julie Anne?
I love my mandolin but it really has a bite if you aren't completely focused on it.
More cooks have died by mandolin than in all wars combined
Get a mandolin, don't go all the way and use the end bits for stock.
Why not tell which one you recommend? Kind of the main purpose of a product testing and review video.
Shut up you're a chef ĵullìene is a type of cut spefic to a chef blade if you had formal training you would know.
Loved the one I got at HEB and have not found a good replacement
Personally I like having the mandolin, I just have a basic one with only a single blade, it is easier to use it for even first cuts which in turn, with practice, helps make more even second/cross cuts.
My apologies but that doesn't look like the julienne cut of any TV chefs. They all use a knife for a slightly sturdier cut veg. My regular potato peeler can produce the "julienne" strips shown above.
I'll use my blade every day 😅
Thanks
Chef Jet showed a really easy way to julienne. Tiles-sticks-dices. Cut on a really extreme bias you have tiles. Stack tiles and slice into sticks. Cut sticks into dices if you want. No need for any fancy kitchen gadgets to julienne.
You guys really help working people improve their lives. It’s greatly appreciated
Who’s Julienne Peeler?
Which ones did you like?
