A Beginners Guide to Using a Charcoal Grill

In this video I teach the basics of using a charcoal grill. I’m using a standard Weber 22 inch kettle grill, which in my opinion sets the standard for all other kettle grills. I cover everything from setting the grill up, to choosing your charcoal, to which accessories and utensils you will need. I will link to the grill and accessories below.

  1. Really informative and solid video! Hate to ask a stupid question but what do you do when you’re done cooking, do you just let the charcoal run it’s course? I’m used to propane and just turning it off, but I’d hate to just walk away from a fire and risk burning my house down

  2. This is all you need to know about setting up a grill in one no nonsense video. Especially the part about keeping your coals to one side to give yourself space to move your meat when it's almost done.

  3. Thanks for this video. I just bought my first ever mini portable charcoal grill bbq and when I say "mini", it's 36 cm in diameter. It was half price at the local BBQ store $25AUD. I HAD to have it.cheers
