Good lord, what exactly do people expect a lid holder to do? Do you really need to see it in use?
It holds lids. Vertically. That's it.
All the people in the comment section are so sour. Lisa is the BEST REVIEWER I’ve ever come across. Her reviews I Hold in very high esteem~ She’s going for a short video format, right to the point
Really?? I am looking at these now trying to figure out which to get and you couldn't even put a lid on to test? You put the darn spoon…lol. Smh!
But will it tackle a le cruset lid tho? I just use my dishrack
I own the holder they chose as the winner (yamazaki) and I love it. It catches the condensation into the removable drip tray and is definitely sturdy enough to hold up even cast iron lids. Dishwasher safe. No more suctioned lids on the counter, no more pools of water and grease either.
That first one you dissed I have used for years, it works great.
These equipment reviews are getting worse
I love the one she did not like.. i bought it on Amazon. Best money spent!!!
Fail
I thought you were going to show us how it works
Woah woah woah woah… you said you wanted a lid holder that would catch the drippings…
So I looked at your winner on Amazon. The only picture they have of it holding a lid is a very dry, very clearly unused lid. So I looked at the pics.
There's no way this thing contains the drippings.
Just put the lid upside on your counter or in the sink. Easy. Done. Saved you money.
For all the complainers in the comments section, here you go:

Seriously? From the folks who preach that you only need 3 knives in the kitchen, you also need this useless piece of kit? Counters get messy, that’s what dishcloths are made for… still love you guys 😉
I am a self-taught professional chef, and I trust America's Test Kitchen to give me sound advice. This was an advertisement I would expect to see on Food Network, bring back your chef jacket and get in to the details of these products while showing examples.
Maybe show us them in use hey?
Ya’ll need to make reaction videos to the comment section😂😂😂 people are pissed they didn’t see a lid being used
I adore ATK, but ya'll needed to give Ms. McManus more time in this video to actually demonstrate using the lid holders. For something other than one holding a spoon.
Hey, Honey, come here and hold this lid.
I'll tell you when to stop.
80$ saved.
giggling.
I have this lid holder. It works great. Maybe I got lucky, or maybe I'm just really smart, I dunno, but I was able to figure out how to put a lid on it without having to watch a how-to video on it.
Yes, I could use my sink as a lid holder, but the sink is on the opposite side of the kitchen, seven steps away, so that's not very efficient or practical.
I could put the lid upside down on a towel on the counter top, but the counter top on either side of my stove is just 12 inches wide, so the entire counter top becomes a single-use kitchen gadget if I want to use it as a place for holding a lid. That's not very efficient, either.
With this lid holder, I can put the lid right there on the counter next to the stove and still have lots of room for seasonings, a plate, etc.
