Great overview. Glad I'm a subscriber. Your videos a a great source for recipes as well as keeping up with various brands & models of pellet grills. I've been looking for a new smoker and mostly decided that I want to upgrade from and old (non-PID) Camp Chef Smoke Pro 24 to a Woodwind Pro 36. I'm most interested in the smoke flavor it produces, but also influenced by various features like ash clean out. This review impressed me enough to wonder if I should consider changing brands from Camp Chef to Traeger, but I didn't find any of their models that have a wat to add wood chunks to increase the smoke flavor and bark, particularly on briskets. Does Traeger have any kind of similar feature to add wood chunks? Thanks and please keep up the great work!
The Masterbuilt Gravity 900 crushes any Traeger on price, features, quality, and performance.
Great video! Will you do a comparison between the Traeger Woodfire XL and the Camp Chef Woodwind Pro? I'm leaning toward CF but you're making Traeger sound slightly better in some areas.
Thanks! Liked and Sub'd!
They put extra hooks to let you hang the grates and even the drip tray for when you’re cleaning it
That assembly feature in the app is awesome! It looks like a clean grill with a lot of features.
Will it char a steak
Sorry to say, Traeger grills are junk. I’ll never buy a Traeger smoker grill ever.
This is one of the best reviews of any product I've seen in recent times
Guys why is this thing so damn large for so little cooking area? Tighten your britches here. Make folding sides. This thing is way too big for so little cooking space.
pretty solid for a budget smoker. not too shabby
Good job, Andrew!!! Great budget friendly pellet grill!! Glad to see them keep that same shape for this entry level pit!!!
Great overview! I look forward to your over the top chili video👍😊
I ordered the woodridge pro today. Very good video. I have a pit boss right now and looking to upgrade. Do you recommend wrapping a brisket in butcher paper, or foil or a tin pan with beef broth when you smoke on a pellet grill
What part of Ohio are you? I’m NE near Youngstown. Also currently have 4 traegers. I’ve been using them for about 15 years
Hmmm, i didnt see any smoke coming out of it towards the end of the video, especially since the temp was only at 225°. 🤔🤔
I think for the price, this appears to be a pretty good piece of kit. Smokin' Joe's did a video recently where he did a brisket in one of these and it turned out well.
Why??? Traeger needs a vertical smoker. Not another smoker
Excellent overview and explanation, thanks!
I appreciate you spending the time to keep Us informed on new products. My question for you is do you recommend the Ironwood 885 over the Woodridge Pro version. I live in Maine and use my pellet grill all year. The Ironwood XL is too large for me. I would appreciate your opinion.
800$ is not budget friendly for most people
instead of plastic they should have wrapped it in paper
Traeger is overrated.
It’s either a Traeger or it’s not!
So it doesn't come with paper instructions? Having it only on my phone or computer doesn't work for me. My shop has no internet where I would assemble it.
Do you know what temp the keep warm function holds at?
alcohol wipes clean the 'temp' gauge easily…
Deciding between this and the Weber smoque
Does it come with super smoke?
Explained very well! 10+++!!!😊😊😊
Did you look at Yoder or Lone Star Grillz. They are made in the USA and pretty much pre-assembled. And since you are one of those people who are very concerned about the environment… think about what China did to our environment to make and transport that Traeger grill to the USA.
Can you turn it on and off with just the app?
