Umm, I hate to break it to you, but you didn't make bread. Bread doesn't have sugar in it. You made a bread-shaped sweet brioche.

You’re wonderful! I made your Everything But the Bagel bread, it basically came out delicious! But I’m not sure if it’s me or my bread machine (a Cuisinart), but no matter what I do the dough ends up sticky! Oh my gosh! I thought when I started out after a few minutes like you do it looked fine. Then later it seemed stuck everywhere and I added flour after flour and that dough did not behave! I’m wondering cause I keep having this issue if my bread machine (which I can hardly see down into) isn’t at least part of the problem? It doesn’t seem to mix the dough well no matter what recipe I do. Sigh. Probably me but I’m hoping I’m not the whole problem! It did start to deflate after the second rise in the bowl. So it didn’t rise as well as yours (I did do the 5 quart and I think it was okay) but everyone loves the look and taste! Raving reviews! I’ll keep trying! I’m resting today but plan on your pumpkin quick bread tomorrow then back to another lovely loaf like this but in cast iron, then on to the Texas rolls! Thank you! 🥰👍🇺🇸
