White plastic lids leak. You need a dark gray no leak lid.
I have those plastic one piece lids. So convenient!
Living in a South Asian poor country, every household use this type glass jar with plastic lid from like forever 😅😅
One purpose gadgets and appliances don't attract me very much. For years I've used jars mayo, jam, etc.) to make salad dressing. But they can also be used to share soup or something else i've cooked with a friend or family member and nobody has to return anything. It just makes sense.
Love the plastic lids. I got them at walmart years ago – Mainstay brand but theyre not always in stock
So you use ball jars at least partially because you don't put plastic in the dishwasher. Then you use plastic lids instead of the default metal tops. I'd rather use the two-piece and put them in the dishwasher than hand wash plastic lids. Am I missing something?
Yes the oxo one is great have been using constantly for 7 years
I just save and wash small to medium olive jars and repurpose them as dressing shakers.
❤
I've been using these Lids for years, they also come in dark brown. I have a drawer full.
You can put plastic in the dishwasher… ATK is a joke without Chris
"I don't put plastic in my dishwasher"…. promotes a plastic item. So she washes them all by hand?
Good for making a malted chocolate shake too.
Use a glass jar with a tight lid. Oil disintegrates plastic.
I have not one, but two of these salad dressing shakers, I wish I had found them twenty years ago. They are everything I want, and nothing I don't. There are a lot of things in the kitchen we may not necessarily need, but that still make our lives in the kitchen a hell of a lot easier. This salad dressing bottle is definitely one of mine. And really, we should be making our own salad dressings as much as possible. It's easy, and it's better.
I love the plastic tops! Perfect!
How lazy are you?
I use an old Good Season glass container . I've had it for years. Used to get it free when you bought 4 packs of their Italian dressing.
Just save the lid from a peanut butter container and use that. Other products have lids that fit as well.
Wow they have reinvented the mayo and peanut butter jar lids youve already bought and paid for..
My wife keeps the ball jar on a shelf and she lets me have it when I have to do manly things if I ask nicely
Plastic tops? Wow. You just changed the game for me – no more rusty tops!
Glass jars > other containers, no doubt! Just wish I could have watched you whip up a batch of dressing and shake the heck out of it 😆❤️
Do you then hand wash the lids?
I don’t make salad dressings in a shaker either !
