Street food, in Australia we really don;t have one stand alone authentic street food. So, I thought I’d put an idea out there and hope it catches on. I love potato cakes and I love smash burgers, so combining the two only made sense to me.
Hopefully we can all start ordering a potato cake smash burger from food vans everywhere next week.
As with all my recipes I run through the selection, preparation, seasoning, BBQ set up, times and temps, so you can recreate this recipe at home.

Main Ingredients:
10 frozen potato cakes
1kg (2.2lbs) of minced brisket and chuck
Kosher salt for seasoning
10 slices of cheddar cheese
Chicken salt
Olive oil
Sauce Ingredients:
½ a cup of whole egg mayonnaise
¼ cup of ketchup
¼ cup of yellow mustard
2 tablespoons of Sriracha Sauce
Chicken Salt Ingredients:
1/4 cup of kosher salt
3 tablespoons of chicken stock
2 tablespoons of sweet paprika
2 teaspoons of garlic powder
2 teaspoons of onion powder
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1 teaspoon of celery seed
1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, to prevent caking)
